The Wildcat is really cute and quaint. The rooms are well kept and quaint. The bathrooms are a bit on the small side, but we don't really care about stuff like that too much. The staff is friendly and the beds were comfortable. The walls are super thin though. It's an old building, so you should expect that I suppose, although we were woken up at 530 in the morning to the sound of the plumbing roaring through the buliding, so it would be nice if they could put more insulation on their pipes... on the whole a nice place to stay though.

    Amazing!

My husband and I had to go to the White Mountains for a wedding that he was in. We booked the tavern kind of last minute the weekend before the wedding, as we thought the place the rest of the wedding party was staying was a bit too expensive. Aside from the expenses of the tux and gas to get from RI to NH, we were worried about prices of places to stay for the weekend as well. It made for a stressful week prior to our visit, to say the least. We were quite surprised to see that our room was ten times as nice as the hotel rooms the others were staying in and less costly at that! Although we didn't get a chance to grab a bite to eat in the tavern or restaurant, we still thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our experience at the Wildcat Inn & Tavern and would most definitely stay here again, as well as recommend it to our friends. The area is beautiful and scenic and the rooms are comfortable, adorable, and relaxing. Last but most certainly not least, the staff is the best! We were greeted with a "hello" every time we came in and our room was even ready for us two hours early so we could put our things down and get ready for the wedding. We were so glad we chose the Wildcat Inn to stay at and we will most certainly be back in the future. Thank you so much for making it a relaxing, enjoyable, and most importantly, stress-free weekend for my husband and I! We will be more than happy to spread the word about the Wildcat Inn & Tavern to everyone we know!

We loved the appearance of this place and found it very friendly. We ate there on the first night but had cold crab cakes which we sent back to the kitchen. We received an apology and a free drink but it wasn't the best start. When booking, this was advertised on site as having tea and coffee making facilities and including breakfast, neither of which it did. To be fair, after showing our booking slip the manager did arrange a free breakfast at a nearby cafe but what is included needs to be clear when you book.

When I arrived there was a note on the door saying "CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS". I called the 800 number and was told there had been a fire, for some reason no one contacted me, But they put me in their other property in N. Conway and it was great. Everyone was really nice and apologized for the error, therefore, I am rating that property, The Kearsage Inn.

When we arrived at the Wildcat Inn they had no record of our reservation that had been made 3 weeks earlier through Bed andBreakfast.com and had already been charged to our credit card. They had no explanation as to why they didn't have our reservation as they could look it up and there it was. They had one Inn Suite that they had not been renting because it had a bathroom that was down the hall (their site never mentions this) and they had been using the bathroom for other guests because that had been having plumbing problems earlier. They gave us this room but we could not get the bathroom for an hour because it needed to be cleaned - not good news after a long day on the road. The extra "suite" room did not have a sofa or a love seat just an oversized chair and a second wooden kitchen type chair. There was a small TV with a hundred or so channels but there was no remote control.
