Squam Lake Inn

4.6 on September 17, 2014

My Wife and I had an amazing visit to the Squam Lake Inn. As we drove into the driveway of the Inn we knew we had picked a winner. As we checked in we were greeted by Molly. I'm not sure of her title but she was there to serve us breakfast and there to refill the sugar jar late into the evening and help with anything in between. Not to leave out the rest of the Staff at the Inn who were all very busy doing what they do and always smiling and able to answer all my questions. The room. - As Molly (there she is again) guides us up the stairs past the reading nook (and the guest Keurig and refrigerator) to our room we couldn't help but notice how clean everything was. Down the hall to our perfectly decorated room, with a big screen tv hanging on the wall (sorry i'm a guy). Molly gave us a quick tour of the room and let us know she would be down stairs or in the Kitchen if we needed anything. The bed although not a king was super comfortable and the bathroom was plenty big enough for me (a full figured fella). Back down stairs for Dinner. WOW, I am so glad we decided to stay for dinner. Amazing food and service, the staff is all super nice. Back up to the room for some much needed rest. Breakfast - what all of us go to the bed and breakfast for right! Well it was perfect. Like any great B&B, the breakfast can't be your run of the mill, same ol' had it last Sunday meal. Molly (whats up with this Molly anyway, I think she must have a twin) was there to greet us at our table. Juice, fresh fruit, coffee and some of the best German Pancakes I have ever had. Ok these were the first ones but still they were amazing. I don't think Molly made them as we could hear her talking to the cook in the kitchen. A+++ at the Squam Lake Inn and many thanks to the great staff for all they put into their day to make ours just right. Dave & Cheryl

We had such a great night at the Squam Lake Inn. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, and the food was amazing. I keep telling all my friends how impressed I was! We will be back!!!

A return to the Squam Lake Inn was exactly what my soul needed. Peace, tranquility & the quaintness that only this Inn can provide. This is my second stay here, this time in the Squam suite. It was all I hoped it would be. I will most definitely return.

The Squam Lake Inn was awesome in every way from the friendly staff, to the location, to the cleanliness of the rooms, to the food. It is definitely one of my most memorable travel experiences to date! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and come back again to enjoy!

stay for NH wedding

2.8 on July 30, 2014

we knew we booked a smaller room but bedroom was quite small-can't tell from the picture on line. although the bedroom had adequate storage the bathroom was lacking space for storing of bath needs. suggest the installation of hanging wall cabinet to eliminate constant shuttling of things from bedroom to bathroom, breakfast was excellent! general common space in the inn was quite warm suggesting that innkeepers were saving a/c despite the fact that this inn was not inexpensive! overall our stay was somewhat disappointing considering the costs!
