The perfect gift for every occasion

  • The Shaker Room - A large room dominated by a beautiful queen sized, four poster bed handmade locally at Dana Robes Woodcraftsmen. Overlooking the side gardens, the room gets afternoon sun.
The Charles Hewes Room - This lovely room was named for the first occupant of the house. The antique headboard is set off by the cool greens with cream accents; the room receives morning sun.
The New Hampshire Room - Names for our lovely state, this is our most versatile room since it converts between a king or extra-long twin beds. The soft rose colors are restful; the room overlooks the side gardens and distant mountains.
The Herb Garden Room. - Our smallest and coziest room boasts the largest floor boards in the house! It overlooks the herb garden and receives morning sun.

    The best B & B breakfasts ever!

    August 09, 2012

The setting is really pretty, close to Dartmouth. The cookies and breakfast were "I want the recipe" good, and the owners were comfortable, friendly, and easy to be around. Very, very nice, we highly recommend

Warm, inviting B&B with gracious and attentive hosts. Outstanding 'made from scratch' breakfasts! Wood exposed floors and staircase, along with an abundance of appropriately placed antiques, make for a cozy dwelling. Artistically designed gardens on extensive grounds. Memorable stay and hope to visit again.

    A wonderful way station.

    May 10, 2012

I wish we'd had more than one might to spend. We stayed at this lovely spot on our travels between visiting friends. The old house is wonderful and Nancy and Al are great hosts. After a delicious breakfast, we went to the Shaker Museum across the lake and had a very educational visit.

    Heading back for another stay

    February 14, 2012

This was my husbands first stay at a B&B (Oct. 2011) although we did not share that with Nancy and Al until we were leaving. We are looking forward to going back again. Nancy's breakfasts are incredible right down to the edible flowers. The inn is just so relaxing, even the boys (their 2 dogs) are mellow. Just a nice, comfy, place to stay! Barbara and Bill C.

    A Home Away From Home

    January 29, 2012

Our stay at Shaker Hill B&B was perfect. Our room was beautifully furnished with antiques and exquisite Shaker pieces. Everything was so clean and cozy, and our bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was always delicious, beautiful, and creative. Ben and Bo, the innkeepers' dogs are a delight, and Nancy and Allen are pretty special too! The rates are so reasonable. It will be our new "home away from home" for our getaways.
