Room 9 - One of the original rooms of the homestead dating back to 1825. King-size canopy bed, wood floors, private bathroom and whirlpool tub.

The beauty of the river behind the inn will surprise you and soothe your mind! The inn dates back to 1825 when it was built as a homestead for John Pierce Jr., nephew of Franklin Pierce, the 14th president of the United States.

Hospitality and food are phenomenal. We have done the golf package as a group for several years. They (Kathy and Victor) have been wonderfully accommodating to our group. The rooms are unique and lovely.

Innkeepers Victor and Kathe Hofmann are originally from Switzerland. Award-winning owner and chef Victor is an active member of the American Culinary Federation New Hampshire Chapter. He received the honor of Chef of the Year in 1994. Kathe enjoys gardening and quilting. Her quilts can be seen throughout the inn.

We have been part of a group of 16 to 24 Golf lovers coming to this wonderful Inn for over 5 years. The rooms are spacious & well kept. The food & service superb.

note dog fences were found and remained at entrance of inn for 2 days. otherwise, great inn, friendly owners, and awesome swiss food. the owners are very successful in running a high quality inn

Sorry, there is no excuse for leaving dog fences out there. We are trying to keep up with removing them but they are not always easy to spot. We wish you would have pointed them out to us.
