Welcome to our renovated monumental farmhouse with a Bed & Breakfast on the first floor (private entrance).
Four spacious and nicely decorated rooms and 1 family room, all with a snug corner, private bathroom and a scenic view.
In the guest living room you can make coffee or tea or have a cool drink from the fridge. Here we also serve breakfast in the morning with fresh produce from our own garden.
There's a great garden/farmyard and free parking.
The area is perfect for cycling and walking, close to the beach and dunes, the 'polders' and dikes, nice monumental villages and fields with flowerbulbs (spring).
Schagen is a lovely city with a characteristic old centre with a lot of excellent restaurants and terraces around the market place.

Schagen is located central between Alkmaar (cheesemarket), Hoorn (historical city) and Den Helder (all about 10 miles).
You can easely make a day-trip to Amsterdam (1 hour by car or by train), to Volendam and the Zaanse Schans, to Hoorn-Medemblik-Enkhuizen (Zuiderzeemuseum), to the isle Texel or along the Afsluit-dike. - Nearest major airport: Amsterdam, Netherlands (AMS-Schiphol) 35 miles

Take the A4, direction Amsterdam.
Turn to the A9, direction Badhoevedorp/Haarlem.
Follow this road to Alkmaar.
Turn to the N242 and follow this road until you see the sign Schagen. Follow the signs until the first traffic-light of Schagen.
Turn left and again left after the first farmhouse.
After about 1 kilometre you find B&B Tjallewal on number 8.
