B&B Where Els is ideally located in the heart of Haarlem. A great base from which to explore the Netherlands.
This typical Haarlem huis is located on a small street with no traffic, which is surprisingly quite considering the location - even during the night. Just steps away from shopping, restaurants and the famous Groote Markt (centre square).There is always a lot to do: many local theatre, music and dance events take place in Haarlem.
Day visits to Amsterdam and The Hague are very easy. B&B Where Els is a short walk to the train station where six trains per hour depart to take you straight to the centre of Amsterdam (15mins) and to The Hague (40mins).
The North Sea with beautiful sandy dunes and beaches are just 10 minutes by car or 30 minutes bike to the west. The coastal towns of Zandvoort and Bloemendaal are great places for lunch or dinner by the sea.
Your day will start in the dining room on the 1st floor or on the roof garden where you will get a sumptuous breakfast with fresh biological produce from the local market.
All rooms are fully equipped with snacks, drinks TV, DVD, CD, wifi internet, cool, clean, comfortable bedding and a private ensuite bathroom.
Note: just a 15 minute drive from Schiphol international airport.

In most cases the easiest way to get here is via the train. If you arrive with your car also head for signs for Haarlem CS because opposite the main station you can park in the "Station" multi-storey carpark (with survelience).
Ok with your back to the main entrance of the Railway station (the Main entrance is the one with the big clock on the side of the wall), take the main road running from the left of the station building.
Just keep walking straight down this road, this is the 'Jansweg' you will cross three junctions the last one is a bridge.
Walking on the right hand side of the street - at the fourth junction you will see a large modern building, the 'JansKlinek,' turn right down this, the 'Ridder Straat' - now the first left and then the first right and here you are in the 'Nieuwe Kruisstraat'.

By train:
just take the train to Amsterdam-Sloterdijk; then step into another train in the direction Den Haag. When it's an intercity you are in Haarlem at the first stop.
By car:
take the A4, the A5 and the A9, direction Haarlem; then take the direction Haarlem: you drive then the A200.
Straight ahead untill you have to decide to go right or left: you see the "Amsterdamse Poort", it's an ancient building where you can walk through. Go right and immediately left.
Then you pass a large round building: it's the prison.
Follow the road which will cross the river the Spaarne. After that bridge you go right; then you'll see a windmill on your right side on the other side of the Spaarne.
Park your car there and phone me. I will pick you up by a fast biking in front of you: it will take only 3 minutes.
