Amsterdam Bed and Breakfast City Center

We were delighted with our room during our two night stay, booked at short notice. It's situated just 5 mins from the train station in a quiet side street of period buildings. The owner made us feel so welcome and provided a great introduction to the city. There's only two rooms which share a bathroom and this wasn't an issue at all; everything was squeaky clean! We loved returning late at night to our toasty room! Thanks a lot.

Camillo est une personne exceptionnelle, très attentionné et raffiné vis à vis de ses hôtes, chez lui tout respire la convivialité , le petit déjeuné est un vrai repas, équilibré, recherché et différent chaque matin, un plaisir pour les yeux et le palais . chambre décorée avec gout et très propre . Nous recommandons vivement cette chambre d'hôtes qui de plus est située près de la gare et du centre ville tout en étant dans une petite rue tranquille. a consommer sans modération

As a caveat, I only stayed here one night with my husband, because our train and plane schedules gave us an extra night in Amsterdam at the end of our trip. For us it was a very good location, the train station is a 5 minute walk away, the Jordaan/Red Light District/Anne Frank House is 10 minutes away, Dam Square is 5 minutes, etc. We had a very cute room, good size but not huge, and we had some space to spread out a bit. It was decorated simply but nicely and very plain. A good large breakfast was included, with plenty of options, served in our room at the time of our choice between 8-10 AM. Camillo (we did not meet Joost) was very welcoming and friendly, and he gave us ideas for the day and a good recommendation for dinner. Our room was in the back of the building – it’s a very lively area but our room was very quiet. They were very accommodating with us having an early arrival – Camillo even brought our bags from the storage area to our room when it was ready while we were out in Amsterdam for the day. The room had nice extra welcoming touches, like stack of DVDs, a binder with helpful articles and information, travel books, coffee in the room, and nice large comfy bathrobes. Our bed was very comfortable, a real two-person bed, not two beds pushed together like we’ve had in some other places, and you definitely feel the difference.

the b and b is very close to central station...5 minutes that is very positive.. Camillo is very gentil and give you all information you need. The room is not very big but clean and confortable. You have also opportunity to take breakfast in your room or in a bar close to b and b (incluse price)

We found this nice little B&B on TripAdvisor, and since staying there helped to make our trip that much better, we figured a review was in order. The CityCenter is literally a few minutes walk from the Amsterdam Centraal Station and when we got there, we found Camillo and Joost to be incredible hosts! We were greeted warmly, immediately given a map and useful information about the area and the city in general (which saved us serious money), and just generally had everything we needed to know about the place explained to us VERY efficiently! Every day, we had breakfast delivered to our room between 8 and 10, and what a breakfast it was! Several different kinds of fruit, milk, juice, cereal, fresh rolls and pastries and each day, a different 'main course'...And all delicious! Also, every day we came back to our room clean (as long as we were out of our room for enough time to let them do so), the bed made and (our favorite) a little candy placed on the folded towels and robes! There is just one bathroom (with a fantastic, futuristic shower!) between the two rooms, but never was this an issue for the 4 nights that the other room was also occupied! When we come back to Amsterdam, we will be staying here...End of story.

La recepción y con early check in fue espectacular! Muy amable! El cuarto estaba perfecto y el baño divino aunque hay que compartirlo. Volvería 100%

Wife and I stayed there in January over a weekend and we could not have been happier with our choice. To begin even before booking the room I exchanged a few emails with Camillo and just through the emails it was evident how much of a great host he is. He provided me with some very useful information about parking outside the city and taking the tram into the central station which was within a few minutes from the B&B. As we arrived at the central station we quickly made our way to the hotel and were net by Camillo who immediately showed us to his office and without hesitation gave us a breakdown of the city and where all the tourist sites are and where the tourist traps are as well. In addition to that he provided us with excellent maps of the area and suggested we bought a card which gives you great discounts to museum entrances which was priceless since we didn't have any idea about it. Once we got to our room they were extremely clean and cozy, with little amenities that made you feel like you were home. The bathroom is a few steps from the room and is shared with the other room in the house. The bathroom was very clean and functional. We never had an issue with the other guests for usage of the bathroom so for us that was really a non issue. We received breakfast passes to a restaurant across the street and the food was very good and the folks at the restaurant were friendly enough and nice. The location os this B&B is fantastic. The central station is a very short walk away as is the RLD, Dam Square, and a few other good sites around the city center. From the location of the hotel you can take trams to all the other tourist locations like the rembrandt house, Van Gogh Museum, and the Heineken tour. This B&B is a wonderful little treasure in the heart of Amsterdam, and as well will be visiting again soon...we will most definitely be staying here again!

Abbiamo trascorso una vacanza indimenticabile!!!! Leggendo le recensioni sul CityCenter abbiamo deciso di prenotare questo b&b. La scelta non poteva essere piu'giusta!!! Ottima posizione, in pieno centro storico di Amsterdam. Per tutto il periodo non abbiamo mai utilizzato i mezzi di trasporto! Pulizia e servizio oltre alle nostre aspettative. La colazione al mattino servita in camera piu che definirla colazione la potremmo definire un pranzo, vista l'abbondanza del cibo. Ogni mattina la colazione e diversa! I padroni di casa Joost e Camillo al check in ci hanno fornito di ogni cosa, cartina della citta', cartina dei mezzi di trasporto e tutte le informazioni turistiche utili. Sicuramente torneremo e consigliamo questo b&b a tutti i viaggiatori che vogliono esplorare la mitica Amsterdam.

Excellent accommodation, very friendly, all very clean and tidy. Personal attention is very good, breakfast very complete and very good, also the owner: Camillo will help you with everything you need. If I return to Amsterdam I certainly would house here

If you choose this nice B&B right in the heart of Amsterdam..you'll do a perfect choice! The B&B is just few minutes from the Central Station and very close to the most attractive places the city can offer to tourists. Large rooms, full equipped, cosy, modern (high speed wi-fi!), very clean. The bathroom is separate but just next door from the room, very large, with all the facilities u can request (even a super stylist sauna-shower!!!). To add to all of this something more, Camillo is there to help u, to suggest u where to go around and to make yr stay just fantastic (dont forget ull have a big breakfast right in yr room!So luxurious!!). I couldnt ask anything more than this..to make my weekend in Amsterdam unforgettable!

Every time we go to Amsterdam, we look for a great place to stay, both location and setting matter for us. This time we've found the place we were looking for from the beginning. Perfect location for shopping, visiting and nightlife. All of this in a cousy and quite scenery, with the most friendly hosts to welcome you. The place to stay in Amsterdam!

El hospedaje es encantador y lleno de detalles. El desayuno es todo un banquete y lo mejor, en la habitación. La amabilidad de Camillo y Joost no tiene límitaciones; desde guias turísticos hasta solucionadores de problemas. Todo en ellos es especial. We stayed at Camillo & Joost's Bed & Breakfast November 17, 2010. The room is very clean & welcoming and Camillo & Joost went out of their way to help us book our train to Brugge, Belgium. There are only 2 rooms at the B&B & fortunately for us, we were the only guests that night. They have very steep and narrow stairs that lead up to the room which we found to be quite unique and interesting but we felt bad that Camillo insisted on carrying our suitcases up the stairs and he clearly struggled with them as they were not that light and he himself is not a big guy! There is only one bathroom which is not connected to the bedroom, but the bathroom is clean and the shower was wonderful. Camillo pays a lot of attention to detail and although the room is small, he created a warm and romantic room complete with a water heater for tea or coffee, a tin with candies and most importantly for me (as a girl with long hair) a hairdryer. The location of the B&B can't be beat. It's steps away from the train station making it easy for us to get to our next destination (Brugge) easy and for those who are interested, yellow bike was really close by which allowed us to take a bike tour & rent bikes to go exploring around the very confusing city. The breakfast Camillo prepares in the morning is also beautiful and very filling. We left Amsterdam very full, happy & nostalgic. We really hope to stay at Camillo & Joost's B&B when we can find to squeeze in another trip to Amsterdam. I hate to say it, but we did have one small complaint of the B&B and that was the smoky smell. For people who are sensitive to smoke the smell did bother us a bit and especially being Americans, we are definitely more used to smoking being banned in most places. But we also realize that we pretty much have to accept the fact that when traveling to Europe, there will be smoking everywhere!

Camillo & Joost are excellent hosts and should be proud of the service they offer. We stayed for 4 nights and wished we could have stayed another month. The location is great for all of amsterdams major attractions and within minutes walking of central station. Camiilo's attention to detail is superb - we will definetly return.

What a wonderful place to stay for bank holiday with my friend. Camillo made us so welcome and the room was so comfortable, clean, bright and had all the little extra touches. The breakfast was delightful and what a treat being served in your room. Camillo was a great host and gave us information about the Dam and what it had to offer. I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in a prime location but just out of the way of the noise. Thanks Camillo..see you again x

Consigliato da amici non avevamo dubbi sull'ospitalità del citycenter bed and breakfast. Camillo, il proprietario, ci ha accolto come amici in casa propria. Le camere sono romantiche, silenziose e soprattutto pulite. Oltre alle informazioni turistiche, hai la possibilità di farti un caffe, cioccolata o del thè. Il bagno anche se condiviso con un'altra camera non è stato mai un problema. Anche esso pulitissimo. Camillo offre una colazione del tipo continentale, sembra più un pranzo che una colazione in quanto molto ricca. Alle volte non avevamo bisogno di fare pranzo!!!. La posizione di questo bb, come il nome stesso dice è in pieno centro storico di Amsterdam. Durante il nostro soggiorno non abbiamo mai avuto bisogno di usare i mezzi pubblici, in quanto tutto raggiungibile a pochi passi dal bb. Consigliamo questo b&b e sicuramente sarà la nostra meta definitiva per le vacanze ad Amsterdam.

Our thanks to Camillo and Joost, the owners of Amsterdam Bed and Breakfast City Center for making our stay over Easter weekend so pleasant! The location of the B&B is perfect! Only a very short distance from Dam Square and all the tourist sights of Amsteram, the B&B was the perfect location for our stay. The fact that it is also on the main light rail lines from the Central Station to anywhere in the city makes it easy to see all the sights of Amsterdam. Our host Camillo provided us with a fantastic breakfast every day in our room which made our start of the day very pleasant. I highly recommend this B&B as your place to stay while in Amsterdam. Thanks Camillo, for the great room and your cordial, friendly hospitality! It was greatly appreciated. I hope we can return and stay with you again on our next trip to Amsterdam.

Camillo and Joost are outstanding hosts at their B and B. The room was warm and cozy. The breakfast is delivered to your room. You can eat in your PJs if you wish. They went the extra mile to look after us. The location could not be better. It is only a few minutes walk form the train station, and close to shopping and restaurants. We really enjoyed ourselves thanks to Camillo and Joost. We would love to come back.

It was my first time staying at a B&B and I had the most pleasant time! Camillo was very helpful. I love how clean the rooms are as well. The location was great too- very convenient since it's right across the tram station.

What a great little spot in Amsterdam! The room and bathroom were exceptionally clean and spotless. Camillo welcomed us warmly and could not do enough to help in any aspect of our stay. The breakfast he provided each morning was a real treat and fueled our sightseeing well into the afternoon. It is centrally located and easy to walk to all parts of the city. My friend and I did not need a single cab or tram to visit all of the major sites during our 3-day stay. Highly recommended!

The room was small, immaculate, stocked with candy, attractive hot drink service, and fresh flowers. It was very comfortable. Shared bath [with only one other room] was large, warm, immaculate, and very serviceable. Camillo was a wonderful host. Helpful, friendly, eager to please. Breakfasts were brought to the room and were large and delicious. If ever in Amsterdam again, we plan to return and maybe this time, get a chance to meet Joost [who was away on vacation].

This is a great B and B in the absolute perfect location in Amsterdam. Camillo and Joost were very welcoming and Camillo was an incredible, considerate host. The room and bath were clean, cute and cozy. I have to say that we were happy there weren't guests in the other room, so we could have the bathroom all to ourselves. CityCenter B&B ist ein gemütlicher Ort unter den Dächern von Amsterdam, gut gelegen zwischen Bahnhof und Museen. After a long flight from Australia, we arrived at CityCenter B & B and were greeted by a very gracious host, Camillo. This B & B offers more than most hotels and other B & B's in Europe eg tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, fresh flowers and a truly wonderful breakfast that sustains you for most of the day (if you can eat it all). Rooms are clean,bright and very quaint. Very close to Central Station, Dam Square and other sightseeing areas. Would higly recommend to anyone staying in Amsterdam.

We were with a couple of friends 3 nights at CityCenter bed and breakfast. We don’t have enough words for what a fantastic bed and breakfast it is. Camillo, when we arrived, gave us a warm welcome with drinks and a very good Italian tiramisu’ (home made!!!!) What a better begin!! The rooms are colorful decorated with a romantic touch and very cleaned. In the rooms we found everything we need for our stay, free city map, tourist guide, bathrobe, TV, DVD player with a good collection of DVDs and more. The bathroom is outside the room and is shared yet very clean. It has a beautiful hydro massage and steam sauna shower…..that we enjoyed a lot after a full day in the cold!! The breakfast is amazing. Every morning different with a lot of good and fresh food (fresh bread and croissants, smoked salmon, fresh fruit, different kind of cheese and meat etc. etc. Camillo and Joost were very helpful with information about attractions, where to eat and to go! We highly recommend CityCenter B&B and definitely will come back!

Sono Stato al centro della città ai primi di novembre insieme al mio compagno per un w.end, per festeggiare i nostri primi 5 anni, era il luogo di Amsterdam ideale.Siamo Stati Accolti da Camillo con dell'ottimo vino e dolci fatti in casa.La posizione è perfetta, a 3 minuti Dalla Stazione Centrale e vicino a tutto Ciò che merita Essere visto, ci si sposta tranquillamente a piedi oppure in tram (noi a piedi). La tipica casetta è in una Vietta laterale molto tranquilla, anche se la vita notturna è subito dietro casa, la camera è molto silenziosa, spaziosa ben organizzata, pulita, con TV, DVD, radio sveglia, la possibilita 'di Prepararsi te' e caffe 'a porte chiuse, mappe e informazioni turistiche pianoforte da consultare.Abbiamo alloggiato al Superiore, col bagno al piano e la sala al piano inferiore (Entrambe molto pulite). Al mattino Camillo ha portato la colazione in camera, è Stato un ottimo premio Dopo la vita notturna, e pronti per visitare ancora la citta '. Il Cibo e Preparato con grande cura e la disponibilita 'e riservatezza di Camillo ci ha Fatto stare bene, sentendoci venire A casa nostra. Per noi è Stato un w.end sicuramente Ripetere da Intenso, tante sono le emozioni Che la citta 'ci ha lasciato.Consiglio Camillo e Joost venire ottimo appoggio per visitare Amsterdam.

Il primo finesettimana di novembre sono stato al City Center, è gestito da delle persone fantastiche.Si trova nel cuore di Amsterdam,con pochi passi si è in stazione,e a 5min. da piazza Dam;in pratica ero servito al 100%.Senza contare la disponibilità di Camillo e Joost, i quali non si sono risparmiati nel farmi sentire a mio agio; ma mi haano coccolato con una colazione da Re, servita in una camera che assomigliava ad una bomboniera da quanto era bella,pulita,e silenziosa nonostante la posizione centralissima.In definitiva lo consiglio a tutti quelli che non hanno mai visitato Amsterdam.Il City Center merita l'interesse pubblico!

A fabulously, warm and welcoming B&B, with excellent hosts and situated in a brilliant location, within seconds of Dam square. Althought you do share a bathroom with the other guest room, this was never a problem and it was kept immaculately clean. We were given clean towels every day and there was always a surplus amount of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits available in the room. The breakfasts were great with a huge amount of choice available in the privacy of your own room. The host was very knowledgeable and informative about the location and spoke very good english. We would stay there again, without hesitation.

Sono stato al city center ai primi di novembre insieme al mio compagno per un w.end, per festeggiare i nostri primi 5 anni, Amsterdam era il luogo ideale.Siamo stati accolti da Camillo con dell'ottimo vino e dolci fatti in casa.La posizione è perfetta,a 3 minuti dalla stazione centrale e vicino a tutto cio che merita essere visto,ci si sposta tranquillamente a piedi oppure in tram(noi a piedi).La tipica casetta è in una vietta laterale molto tranquilla,anche se la vita notturna è subito dietro casa,la camera è molto silenziosa,ben organizzata spaziosa,pulita,con TV,DVD,radio sveglia,la possibilita' di prepararsi te' e caffe' in camera,mappe e informazioni turistiche da consultare.Abbiamo alloggiato al piano superiore,col bagno al piano e la sala al piano inferiore (entrambe molto pulite).Al mattino Camillo ha portato la colazione in camera,è stato un ottimo premio dopo la vita notturna,e pronti per visitare ancora la citta'.Il cibo è preparato con grande cura e la disponibilita' e riservatezza di Camillo ci ha fatto stare bene,sentendoci come a casa nostra. Per noi è stato un w.end intenso sicuramente da ripetere, tante sono le emozioni che la citta' ci ha lasciato.Consiglio Camillo e Joost come ottimo appoggio per visitare Amsterdam.

Near Central Station in a very quiet street. Very good localization for visit Amsterdam. Very good breakfast served in room. Thank you very much at Camillo and Joost our hosts!!

A great place to stay. We were made to feel so welcome it was like a home from home. They couldn't do enough for us and the breakfast was out of this world. The guest house is in an ideal location in the very centre of Amsterdam near the train station, shopping centre and night life yet it was also very quiet. no noise from trams or tourists! we will definately be coming back.

Camillo and Joost welcomed me in their sweet downtown place wholeheartedly. I felt immediately at home in the lovely attic room. Everything was really clean and well cared. Everything was there for a sweet hybernation but laying so central i hardly had any time to enjoy that all. So much to do just around the corner of this place. It would take many words to discribe it all but i just had a lovely time in Amsterdam staying here. Highly recomended!

It is a perfect place to stay, it cannot be better, very good service, rooms, breakfast and cleanliness. It is the second time I have stayed there and I will come back.

I just wanted to say that I was very satisfied with my stay at CityCenter Bed and Breakfast. The owners take great care of you, including a wonderful breakfast that they deliver to your room. They are also very attentive and are willing to answer any questions, but yet they do so in a way that is not intrusive, which is an added bonus. Also the room's have wonderful extras like a DVD-player with an assortment of movies, for those nights when you might be worn out from the Amsterdam nightlife and just want to crash. I was extremely pleased with my stay at CityCenter Bed and Breakfast.

Siamo stati ad Amsterdam durante l'ultimo w-end di settembre 2009, da venerdì a lunedì. Personalmente vedevo Amsterdam per la prima volta e devo ammettere che è proprio bellissima. Se a questo aggiungo che il B&B CityCenter è estremamente vicino alla stazione centrale (6/7 minuti a piedi), che la città non è molto grande ed è proprio per la centralità di questo B&B che è possibile girare e veder le cose importanti anche andando solo a piedi, beh, direi che è stato un affare... Stanze, bagni in perfetto stato, i due proprietari son persone veramente gentilissime e corstesi, ci hanno fatto sentire 'a casa', e questo credo sia molto importante per un B&B. Piero & Piero

This B&B is near the Central Station and good-located for tourism. Clean rooms with lots of details are waiting for you. (You can see a film, prepare a tea...). The bathroom is outside the room and You have to share it with the other room. In the morning they bring a nice breakfast between 8 and 11 am. Nice place with nice people in a nice city
