    THE BEST LOCATION IN THE HISTORICAL HEART OF AMSTERDAM Downtown fully romantic houseboat in romantic canal for a lovers' couple : this charming, wooden houseboat with loads of sunny light crossed from East to West (South view and 8 windows) is the perfect place to be in the Center of Amsterdam, moored on one of the most peaceful canals, surrounded by a 17th century architecture and the carillon of Zuiderkerk (South Church) painted by Claude Monet. You will appreciate after the trip being located just five minutes by foot to Central Station or 50 meters from the metro station "Nieuwmarkt" (The next station after Central Station).

    A week on a houseboat in Amsterdam

    The best thing about this houseboat is that it is within walking distance of everything one might want to do in old Amsterdam and yet it is very quiet and safe. You can walk to it easily from the Central Train Station and it is only a few blocks from the Dam - the main square in Amsterdam. There is a metro within a 100 yards of the houseboat if you want to go anywhere on the metro line and there are buses that go all over town within about 100 yards as well. It is a quirky, crazy place to stay, very different, and I especially loved being able to look out over the water at all hours and see so many small unique boats going past our windows. The shower was strong and hot; the kitchen cramped, but adequate - we ate out most of the time so that didn't matter. We would have liked having more light during the evenings. but all in all, it was a very pleasant experience.

    Housboat, very nice. Any comfort in a warm ambience and style-boheme. and very nice opening above the bed that you can see the moon and the stars lying in bed. Great location in the center. Lionel, a good home, friendly, will give you lots of tips and do not hesitate to ask for addresses.

    A full romantic stay

    This houseboat is everything we hoped it would be, and more for a couple, clean, charming, comfortable, and with a great host. The location is convenient and the houseboat experience was wonderful. A great value! We would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend it to friends

    The main goal is that you spend the best stay and feel like in your houseboat. After a life of historian, I decided to live my retirement with 2 dreams : to be in Amsterdam and in a houseboat. The flats are too noisy and a barge is too down. About the houseboat, I love and enjoy it. I rent it when I am in countryside. It is not a permanent renting place. I prefer to welcome my guests than to deal with customers of a business. I am looking forward to welcome you as my guests !
