My girlfriend and I had an amazing time! The house is beautiful and the owner Doc is vary nice, he makes you feel at home. Also the location is nice it's not far out of town and the views are beautiful. Not to mention the food is amazing. The rooms are very nice and well decorated, they are cozy and feel like you are the only people there. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.
Thank you so much. I REALLY enjoy getting to know my guests! It was my pleasure to welcome you both. Stay warm!

Just got back from Buffalo Tavern Bed & Breakfast and it was great!! We were warmly welcomed by Tracy, who made our stay wonderful and memorable. Upon entering our room there was soft music playing, fireplace ready to roll and the temperature was perfect! We relaxed in the parlor the first night, met some new friends and laughed the night away. Loved my soaks in the claw foot tub in our room. Saturday brought fun in West Jefferson, including the long slide at the park, supper at Shatley Springs with our new friends and more parlor time which included Tracy and stories of the history of the Buffalo Tavern. Breakfast each morning was scrumptious and filling. But the table conversation between all the guests was what made the mealtime so enjoyable. We look forward to staying at Buffalo Tavern again--very soon and bringing folks with us!! Thanks for the warm hospitality--Mark & Melissa Lankford
Thank you so much for your review of Buffalo Tavern! It's always so gratifying to read how much our guests enjoy our Inn. I will surely tell Tracy, my assistant innkeeper, about your review! She will be very happy!

Buffalo tavern was everything I expected a b&b to be. I loved my room and I couldn't wait to have a bath in the claw foot tub (one in every room). We sat on the porch with coffee and watched the colors on the trees change as the sun went down. Breakfast was lovely, plated and served. Having another option for the meal would have enhanced the experience. It was fun sitting with Doc and other guests. I'd love to go back.

We won a weekend at the Buffalo Tavern B&B at a silent auction for a non-profit. We had no expectations other than this is a B& in a very small town; we're sure it will be fine. Well, it was way, way beyond fine!! We checked in very late on a Thursday evening and "Doc" was very accomodating. Our room was clean, cozy and comfortable. Breakfasts meals were amazing, we met wonderful people and every recommendation that "Doc" made was "right on"! We had a great time, did lots of fun things, loved West Jefferson and we'll be back to stay again.

We had a wonderful time at the Buffalo Inn. The house and surroundings were beautiful, the beds comfortable, and the breakfast delicious. But what made the trip especially memorable was our hostess, Tracie. She was warm and welcoming and reminded us of why we like B+B's so much. We will certainly be back as guests at the Buffalo Inn.

Doc's Creamy Peach-Filled French Toast
This is a delicious French toast variation that needs NO syrup of any kind! It's served piping hot with warm peaches. I always include a salty sidedish--bacon, or country ham, for instance. Guests love my French toast. I also serve delicious and piping hot stratas of various kinds, biscuits and sausage gravy, omlettes and fresh fruits, and, sometimes, family style! Come to Buffalo Tavern and let me serve you!
