Very welcoming and beautiful inn. We stayed in the suite which we enjoyed but would love to come back and stay in anyone of the guest rooms. Doc was wonderful as was his assistant Tracy. We, in the past, have gone to Boone and Blowing Rock at this time of year, this year we wanted to try something different. How glad we are that we did! West Jefferson was a wonderful little town. We spent the whole day Saturday walking in and out of each of the stores, window shopping, Christmas shopping and just talking to all the wonderful, friendly owners. We would highly recommend The Buffalo Tavern Bed & Breakfast and the West Jefferson area. Thanks Doc!

Loved celebrating my 28th Anniversary at the Buffalo Tavern and exploring West Jefferson with my husband. Ric surprised me with the weekend, just wished we could have met Doc. Heard his Bacon Pie is worth getting :)

An excellent place to stop in North Carolina. The room was great, although the sheer was a tad bit small. Our host Patrick, admirably took over for Doc who was out of town. Patrick supplied us with an excellent dinner restaurant, and put together a marvelous breakfast. We were very, very pleased and woukd stop there anytime.

Doc's Creamy Peach-Filled French Toast
This is a delicious French toast variation that needs NO syrup of any kind! It's served piping hot with warm peaches. I always include a salty sidedish--bacon, or country ham, for instance. Guests love my French toast. I also serve delicious and piping hot stratas of various kinds, biscuits and sausage gravy, omlettes and fresh fruits, and, sometimes, family style! Come to Buffalo Tavern and let me serve you!
