The Orchard Inn is a Saluda, North Carolina bed and breakfast. Our historic and elegant mountain retreat is comfortably nestled on 12 wooded acres with stunning mountain views in all directions.
Located just 30 miles southeast of Asheville, the moment you walk up the front steps of our Saluda, NC bed and breakfast the rest of the world melts away as you are transported to a place of graceful serenity.
The Orchard Inn boasts the only restaurant in Saluda, NC with stunning mountain views from every table. Enjoy farm to table, fresh, local organic when possible, exceptionally prepared produce as well as mountain trout, crab cakes, or certified Angus beef tenderloin. Fabulous soups, salads and Viennese desserts accompany your meal. Menu changes daily. Dinner served Thurs-Sat by reservation.
Built in 1926 by the Brotherhood of Clerks for Southern Railway as a summer retreat, the spacious living room has a large stone fireplace, several cozy sitting areas and quiet library.
Breakfast in our Saluda, NC restaurant is always a good reason to get out of bed in the morning. Start with a glass of fresh juice, seasonal fruit and berries, homemade granola with Greek yogurt and finish with the entree special of the day featuring farm fresh, local, range free eggs prepared exquisitely.
Greet each morning with clean fresh mountain air, sparkling clear spring water and the only sounds from chirping birds.
Beneath the dining room lies our organic garden and vineyard. From garden to table.
The Boxwood is one of five cottages with gas fireplace, private porch, jacuzzi tub and luxurious bed linen with down comforters.
Enjoy Saluda's best view while sitting in our lovely candlelit fine dining room. Cuisine is centered on local organic fresh ingredients prepared creatively in a healthful way.
Upstairs in the Inn are 8 guestrooms each with private bath and individual controlled heat or air conditioning. Antique furniture and luxurious bed linen and down comforters.
Our front porch is a wonderful place to relax with a cool glass of ice tea or glass of wine as the sun slowly sets into the surrounding mountains.

The Laurel Cottage is nestled into the woods, sleeps 6, has a full kitchen, dining room, living room, gas fireplace, and screened porch.

The Inn has a wonderful view from the breakfast/dining room over the Blue Ridge mountains. The atmosphere of the whole inn lends itself to instant relaxation; cookies and tea by the log fire or a glass of wine from the bar or a cigar on the front deck. The owners are gracious and helpful.

We were only there for one night but definitely want to return and stay longer! The inn was clean, comfortable and charming. Our breakfast was delicious and the service and attention to detail were outstanding! Highly recommend the Orchard Inn!

My wife & I were passing through the area at the end of March and found this wonderful inn by chance. What a unexpected gem of a B&B! Charming and accommodating hosts, excellent amenities, and superb breakfast & staff. We loved the views & touring the surrounding area. One of the boxers just couldn't get enough of playing fetch while we explored the trails around the property. Would recommend this delightful property to anyone coming this way.

We wanted someplace special to celebrate our 45th Wedding Annivrsary where we could relax and be totally pampered. The Orchard Inn was everything we hoped for and more! We stayed in The Keeping Room which gave us the privacy we needed without being far from all the amenities of the B & B. We had our own entrance to the beautiful front porch filled with comfy sofas and rocking chairs. The steam shower was to "die for"! Marianne and Marc, along with their staff were very gracious. The breakfasts were a culinary experience with everything fresh from the farm to the table. Dinner at the Inn is a MUST! Marianne is truly a Master Chef! We enjoyed dining in the sun room overlooking the breathtaking view of the mountains and watching all the colorful finches enjoying the numerous bird feeders. This Inn is definitely a "FIRST CLASS" B & B without being "Stuffy"! Be prepared to be greeted with wagging tails from Roxy and Murray! We both look forward to our next stay at the Orchard Inn. Thank you Marc and Marianne for making our Anniversary special!

Marianne, from Vienna, Austria and Marc, from Providence, RI forged a star crossed partnership while chartering their sailboats in the Virgin Islands in 1978. They have traveled the world as corporate event photographers and ultimately found their dream B&B in the tiny town of Saluda, NC. Marianne is chef exraordinaire while Marc is Maitre'D, Sommelier, and Director of Maintenance. They are most gracious hosts.

We have been frequenting B&Bs in our travels around the country for the last twelve years or so, and the Orchard Inn is the best of them all. The great room with its impressive fireplace is welcoming and comfortable. Our room was very nice, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The Inn has a million-dollar view. It is a great place to relax.

Our family has been going to other B&B in Saluda for years and a last second trip we needed to seek an alternative spot and The Orchard Inn amazed us! The views, the cottage, the breakfast, the Boxer's Marco & Murry and the hospitality were just outstanding! Looking forward to going back soon!

We spent the past weekend at The Orchard Inn and had a lovely time. Marc and Marianne clearly take great pride in the inn and it shows. This was our first B&B experience so we were not sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised and pleased with our choice. The inn was clean and "homey" and the food was absolutley fabulous. Everything was fresh and much of it locally produced. The community (Saluda) is so quaint and made for strolling. We had a nice meal "in town" but our best dinner was at The Orchard Inn. Not to be missed! Highly recommend The Orchard Inn!
