My husband and I stayed in the "pet friendly" cottage because our trip was planned at the last minute, and it was the only one available. We couldn't tell there had ever been a pet in it. It was clean, cozy and romantic. We have stayed in several B&Bs, and this was our favorite so far. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts are warm and welcoming. I would love to go back often and expect we will.

I wish there was a six star valuation. The Orchard Inn is beautiful, and Marc and Marianne are wonderful hosts. Our stay was relaxing, stress free and rejuvenating. We would highly recommend this experience to everyone. The morning breakfast was delicious. Our dinner there was outstanding. The views from the Inn are just beautiful. The service and amenities are impeccable. Will definitely go back.

From the moment we stepped onto the covered veranda and through the doorway of this B&B, we felt welcomed and relaxed. Marc and Marianne are the consummate hosts and make every guest feel like family. The large, well-appointed first floor is cozy and inviting. The dining area overlooks the garden and bird-feeders, with the mountains in the near distance. The breakfast and dinner was divine, with the baked goods being my personal highlight thanks to Marianne. The room was well-appointed and the bed was soft and cozy (and yummy baked treats await you on your nightstand). Without a doubt, I would return to this inn in the future.

We've been coming here for over 10 years. Every time is a fantastic experience. The breakfasts are great. I especially like the Keeping room as it has own entrance to the porch. We always eat dinner at the Inn on Saturday night & it is always great

My wife and I have stayed several times, most recently for our anniversary. The lobby and porch are inviting, the food is delicious, and the scenery is majestic. Marc and Marianne are gracious hosts. I enjoy rising early and watching the sunrise.

The Inn and hosts were fabulous and so friendly! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely retreat and hope to visit again very soon.

From the entrance view of The Orchard Building, to the nice "living room," and the entrancing view from the "dining room, over the mountains, the initial impression was outstanding. The cottage was full comfort, even as the rain fell upon the tin stack of the fireplace. The meals were gourmet; Marianne was so cordial, Marc so ready to be of help to guests. That sounds outstanding to me. Alan Elmore

We had a lovely time at the Orchard Inn in Saluda, NC. The owners were excellent hosts. They made us feel welcome without ever interrupting our privacy. The inn is handsome with a large central room where we felt comfortable hanging out and visiting. The front porch with its many rocking chairs is charming, as is the breakfast porch where we enjoyed views of the mountains in the distance. The breakfast offerings were ample and delicious. The garden and grounds are quite special and the bedrooms were simple, but very comfortable. We would highly recommend this inn.

May before last my wife and I were married at The Orchard Inn. It was not long into our initial visit at the Orchard Inn that we were quite sure that it was the "right place". From a financial perspective we felt it was a good deal compared to other places that had a lot of "add on" charges. In terms of the Orchard Inn's capacity and unique characteristics it fit the bill rather nicely. We wanted a small, intimate setting that was special and would set the right mood for our celebration. It had to be special -- kind of classy, but not uptight and pretentious. The Orchard Inn is very nice, but not overly formal or "stuffy". Part of the appeal of the place are its owners Marc and Marianne -- two lovely people who you can tell really care about their property, their work, and meeting guests' needs. They had us come up one afternoon for a wine tasting and time during which we could plan a menu and schedule. It was all very enjoyable and we didn't feel like we were conducting business. Another strong point (if you should choose the Orchard for a wedding) is the deck and its incredible mountain range view. The reception and dinner were fabulous (you must order the freshly caught mountain trout). Marianne, is a five star chef! Marc is quite a photographer, should you need those services. We stayed in one of the cottages (the term is not quite apt for so nice a space). It has a big jacuzzi tub, small living room area with fireplace, private screened in porch overlooking the mountains, and a very comfortable bedroom appointed very tastefully. If you're looking for a romantic space you'll find no better. Our wedding guests were all very impressed and said the Orchard Inn sort of framed who we are in terms of our taste, style, and attitude toward life. They liked their rooms (in the inn) and cottages. Many expressed an interest in returning for vacations. My wife and I returned this past May for our first anniversary and hope to do every year.

This is a superb B&B. The room as clean and neat with a great view of the mountains--just turn off the AC, open the window, and sleep like a lamb with the cool mountain breeze. Breakfast was elegant and one of the best we have enjoyed. There are two boxers (dogs) on the property--just loving and friendly and absolutely no problem. We have been staying in B&B's when we travel for the past 20+ years (several times a year) and this rates in the top 90%. We will return. Host and hostess (owners) were delightful and very helpful. Highly recommended bed and breakfast if you want to get away for the weekend. The service was excellent; don't come if you don't like dogs. There are two boxers who will greet you as soon as you arrive. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at any B & B. The common area (gathering) rooms downstairs were so well laid out, and I cannot say enough about the views, etc.

We recently spent two nights at the Orchard Inn. Marianne, Marc and their staff are warm and welcoming. They make you feel like old friends who are visiting in their home. We can't say enough about the delicious breakfasts or the afternoon cookies. The rooms are comfortable and cozy all with private baths on suite. We have stayed at this B &B several times and always come away happy with our choice.

We picked this for it's proximity to Ashville and the Biltmore Estate. We also found a wonderful waterfall and a quaint little historic town in Saluda. The Inn was wonderful and had a great view of the mountains from our room and outside deck. The breakfasts were incredible and we only wish our stay included the weekend so we could try their dinners. I'm sure we missed some great meals. Next time we'll stay on a weekend. Definitely will return to this beautiful Inn in the mountains!!

The Inn has a wonderful view from the breakfast/dining room over the Blue Ridge mountains. The atmosphere of the whole inn lends itself to instant relaxation; cookies and tea by the log fire or a glass of wine from the bar or a cigar on the front deck. The owners are gracious and helpful.

We were only there for one night but definitely want to return and stay longer! The inn was clean, comfortable and charming. Our breakfast was delicious and the service and attention to detail were outstanding! Highly recommend the Orchard Inn!

My wife & I were passing through the area at the end of March and found this wonderful inn by chance. What a unexpected gem of a B&B! Charming and accommodating hosts, excellent amenities, and superb breakfast & staff. We loved the views & touring the surrounding area. One of the boxers just couldn't get enough of playing fetch while we explored the trails around the property. Would recommend this delightful property to anyone coming this way.

We wanted someplace special to celebrate our 45th Wedding Annivrsary where we could relax and be totally pampered. The Orchard Inn was everything we hoped for and more! We stayed in The Keeping Room which gave us the privacy we needed without being far from all the amenities of the B & B. We had our own entrance to the beautiful front porch filled with comfy sofas and rocking chairs. The steam shower was to "die for"! Marianne and Marc, along with their staff were very gracious. The breakfasts were a culinary experience with everything fresh from the farm to the table. Dinner at the Inn is a MUST! Marianne is truly a Master Chef! We enjoyed dining in the sun room overlooking the breathtaking view of the mountains and watching all the colorful finches enjoying the numerous bird feeders. This Inn is definitely a "FIRST CLASS" B & B without being "Stuffy"! Be prepared to be greeted with wagging tails from Roxy and Murray! We both look forward to our next stay at the Orchard Inn. Thank you Marc and Marianne for making our Anniversary special!

We have been frequenting B&Bs in our travels around the country for the last twelve years or so, and the Orchard Inn is the best of them all. The great room with its impressive fireplace is welcoming and comfortable. Our room was very nice, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The Inn has a million-dollar view. It is a great place to relax.

I decided to book a visit to a bed and breakfast in our area for my husband's 70th birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect from the moment of our arrival to the time of departure. The hosts are friendly, Roco, Murray and Nelson, their pets are adorable and the food was outstanding. We will definitely return.

We spent our wedding anniversary at the Orchard Inn and could not have picked a better spot. The inn sits atop a mountain with beautiful views to the east and south. The sunrise out of the window of our cozy bedroom was spectacular! Marc and Marianne make everyone feel right at home and Marianne's meals are to die for! Whether you are coming for a night or a week, you will love The Orchard Inn.

Our family has been going to other B&B in Saluda for years and a last second trip we needed to seek an alternative spot and The Orchard Inn amazed us! The views, the cottage, the breakfast, the Boxer's Marco & Murry and the hospitality were just outstanding! Looking forward to going back soon!

My wife and I have been coming here ever since the late 70's and the current inn keepers are the best. They make us feel as if we are visiting in thier home. We look forard to our times here for rest and relaxation and a little wine on the porch.

We spent the past weekend at The Orchard Inn and had a lovely time. Marc and Marianne clearly take great pride in the inn and it shows. This was our first B&B experience so we were not sure what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised and pleased with our choice. The inn was clean and "homey" and the food was absolutley fabulous. Everything was fresh and much of it locally produced. The community (Saluda) is so quaint and made for strolling. We had a nice meal "in town" but our best dinner was at The Orchard Inn. Not to be missed! Highly recommend The Orchard Inn!

We enjoyed a relaxing 2 night stay and were very impressed with the service, cleanliness, and the amazing gourmet breakfasts! The location is right in the heart of a quaint mountain town and is only a short drive up to Asheville and many other attractions. There are some modern amenaties, such as wifi and a large TV (downstairs), but the appeal for us was the chance to escape from the business of life and spend a few days of quiet relaxation in the mountains. Marc and Marianne provided just that at the Orchard Inn.

My husband and I have been staying at this inn for about five years. We absolutely love it. The rooms are nice and clean, and we enjoy the mountain view from our room. The breakfast is delicious with fresh eggs and top rated bacon or sausgae! The granola is one of my favorites.Eating breakfast and enjoying the beautiful view is one of our highlights of staying there. We got to see lots of different birds when we were there last weekend. Marc and Marianne make you feel so at home even though they only see us a time or two a year. The great room is perfect for visiting with other guests. It is very quiet there so great sleeping-no motel doors slamming, people making noise, etc. Since we do not get to travel much, we always look forward to our vist to the mountains and staying at the inn.

We planned a 2 night getaway for a group of old friends. There were 18 of us so we had the whole inn. Everyone just loved it and couldn't stop thanking us. The innkeepers, Marc and Marianne, were wonderful to work with and so hospitable. We had dinner there one night...the beef tenderloin and crab cakes were fabulous and the presentation was just lovely. Marianne is an excellent cook and the gourmet breakfasts were a real treat! The setting for the inn is beautiful and so are the rooms. You can't go wrong staying in any one of them. We highly recommend The Orchard Inn...you will love it! Tom & Anne

More than we could hope for.....Meals #1. Marc and Marianne (the Inn's Host and Owners) met our every needs. Rooms so very comfortable as well as every aspect of the Inn. The Great room was an ideal area for our group to visit. Television and pool table in a grams room downstairs. A beautiful view when eating meals. I have been going with a group for around 20 years...this is the best yet....

We enjoy returning for New Years' Eve every year, and also find the inn charming in the warmer months as well. From the friendly, personal greetings and way of just making things fabulous, to the use of local, organic ingredients, the loving care with which the inn is run is always there. Breakfasts and dinners and very nicely done and just plain great!

This was our 4th year enjoying a 2- night stay at the Orchard Inn over News Years. The Inn is so lovely, warm and inviting, and the rooms well-appointed with every detail to maximum comfort! The Innkeepers, Marc and Marianne Blazer, are superb, and Marianne is a gourmet cook, so meals are divine!! We loved every minuit of our stay, and will return as often as we can! We had a romantic and peaceful anniversary weekend at The Orchard Inn, we stayed in the Pawlonia Cottage, complete with a 4 poster bed and a fireplace to take away the morning chill. The view from our deck was amazing. And the food! Beautifully prepared and presented, it was a great time. And though only 45 minutes from home, it was a world away.

Our first visit at the Orchard Inn was absolutely wonderful! In spite of a power outage caused by hurricane Sandy, Marc & Marianne effortlessly saw to everyone's comfort, the Inn was warm and cozy with fireplaces blazing and the homemade cookies were amazing! We can't wait to go back, hopefully for one of their Dicken's Dinners at Christmas!

The owners did everything possible to make our visit a very special one and the staff followed their lead. No five star restaurant where we have dined has had better food (both breakfast and dinner). Our entire group enjoyed everything about the location and our experience.

Everything about this place was amazing- our room smelt of gardenias picked from the garden, the food was incredible, the views are epic, the wildlife instruction specific and the dogs very welcoming. Our 2 year old daughter slept like a log in the peace and quiet and mountain air. Marianne and her staff were so thoughtful and aim to make every guest's stay calm and cool- a true retreat.

The Orchard Inn is a Bed and Breakfast nestled in the small town of Saluda, NC that is in a class by itself. The innkeepers, Marc and Marianne Blazer, are the epitome of perfect innkeepers. They absolutely have made the OI a true destination. Marianne is a phenomenal gourment chef and she prepares mouth-watering dinners Thursday - Saturday evenings. Everything from fresh NC mountain trout to wild mushroom ravioli to weiner schnitzel (both veal and chicken) to tenderloin of beef with sauteed onions to veal oscar....it is scrumptious. The OI special salad and associated dressing is a one of a kind. Homemade soups and desserts also accompany every dinner. Breakfast meals are also fit for the Foodie as Marianne shares her Austrian roots in some of her favorite dishes. The setting for the dining area faces the mountains and the OI garden is filled with beautiful flowers and six bird feeders that draw more gold finches than I have ever seen. Marc and Marianne want to ensure that your every need is met, They comfort and look after your every need. My parents were also there with us and they stayed Sunday evening - since no dinner was served - Marianne made them a special picnic basket with everything they could possibly want. They said it was lovely. The Inn also serves beer and wine - a nice wine list is available - however - you may also bring your own bottle for a minimal corking charge. All the rooms in the Inn have private baths and tastefully decorated. There are also 4 or 5 cottages available that may provide more privacy if desired. Complete with two Boxers, Murray and Rocco, and a Siamese Cat, Newman, it is the perfect weekend getaway for anyone!

What a wonderful find and exceptional service. We were offered free champagne in our room for our anniversary since the dining room was not operating that evening. Beautiful rooms and wonderful views, well kept grounds and a nice nature trail. We would definitely return and recommend it to friends. Oh yes, great breakfast!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this Inn. If you are looking to escape to a tranquil spot in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains, this is it. The location is ideal, not far from Asheville , and beautiful trails and great golf. The cottages are immaculate and well appointed. The food was first class as was the hospitality of the innkeepers and staff. Highly recommended

From the minute I arrived, I felt like I was in my summer camp!. Old Orchard Innkeepeers, Marc and Marianne Blazar, treated us like royalty. The private cottage we stayed in was extraordinary(especially the huge tub). Having been in the restaurant and catering business for 20 years, I am fairly critical on the food and service aspect. The fresh laid organic eggs, the private blend roasted coffee, fresh caught trout and house made crabcakes, all prepared by Chef Marianne, far exceeded my expectations..The hospitality...truly warm and genuine. You can tell when people love what they are doing, when you feel really comfortable from the start. Its fair to say that Orchard Inn Saluda is a must stay. Tell them that K61 sent you..My guess is that you will get the royal treatment...just like we did!

After spending a long spring weekend at the Orchard Inn the only question we had was....why didn't we do this sooner. Typically your vision for a country inn is better than the reality. In this case, it was the opposite.
