Welcome to the Hanna House Bed and Breakfast. Recently renovated and furnished in the finest antiques and oriental carpets, the Rudolph Ulrich House was built in 1896 and served as the home of one of New Berns more successful grocery suppliers. The house has undergone periods of use and revival, the most recent attending to its turn of the century details that distinguish older homes, and provide our guests with an opportunity to escape to a quiet environment that encourages relaxation. Located in New Bern's register of historic places and designated an historic home, we are steps away from all major attractions and the confluence of the Neuse and Trent rivers.

My wife and I stayed three nights at Hanna House....our second stay, and it was another great decision. Breakfasts were amazing....again, and service was outstanding. Camille and Joe are great hosts!

We're still fledgling bed and breakfast connoisseurs, but by far the Hanna House was an outstanding place to stay! So far, they are the ONLY B & B that actually gave us a very extensive breakfast menu to choose from (at least 10 or 15 options!), and every one we were able to choose from was delicious. Highly recommended and would look to stay again if visiting the area. A+++

We had a great 2 night stay with a wonderful breakfast on both mornings. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The bedroom was well furnished with period furniture, the bed was really comfortable and although the shower room was small it was more than adequate and well equipped. The home is very well positioned near to all of the things to see and do in New Bern.

My husband and I just spent a weekend in the Hanna House. The house itself is beautiful, with cozy, homey rooms. The owners were very welcoming, along with Katie the dog. The breakfast was outstanding!! Must try the stuffed french toast. The perfect weekend getaway.

The Bates room at the Hanna House was beautiful. It had a very comfortable bed with beautiful linens and the en suite shower had both a tub with jets and a stand up shower. It was wonderful!

Our one night stay at The Hanna House was just what we needed for a short getaway. Our room was beautiful and included a luxurious bath and a balcony overlooking the quaint New Bern street. Cake and sherry were set out in the drawing room in the afternoon. We were asked to choose our breakfast from an extensive menu the evening before, and it was deliciously prepared to order in the morning.

This home is in the heart of New Bern's waterfront historic district. You can walk everywhere. It is clean and quiet. The best part is breakfasts are top notch!
The room has a king-sized art-deco-period sleigh bed done in mahogany with fruit wood inlays. The ceiling is covered in early art-deco style tin. On the walls are period Chippendale mirrors. An 18th. Century fall-front desk is to the right of the bed. The large fully tiled bath has a two-person heated bubbler tub and separate shower.
Dressed in the period of Civil War antiques, this room has a queen sized bed with federal style tin ceiling. The room overlooks the backyard gardens and rasied pond. On one wall is an 1864 lithograph of General U.S. Grant and his family. A private tiled bath with shower finishes your space.
