Tucked away at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains you will find a secluded glen of historic cabins surrounding a natural spring discovered in 1885. The natural spring is purported to have mystical healing abilities and rumored to have cured everything from poison ivy to rheumatism, indigestion to ulcers. Explore the New River, West Jefferson, Lansing, Sparta, Boone or Todd, or enjoy a quick drive to the Virginia border. Our peaceful location offers you easy access to all of what Ashe County has to offer! Our cozy cabins have been sympathetically restored. We are the perfect getaway for romantic weekends, or just a tranquil escape from the pressures of everyday life. So leave your worries behind, come to The Cabins at Healing Springs to renew, replenish and rejoice in the woods that surround you.

Our room was a studio connected to the owners' cabin. It was small but cozy and clean.
Thanks for the kind words about our Acorn Cabin. We hope that you will return to see us again and try one of our other (larger) cabins!
One of the earliest cabins built here at Healing Springs, Chickadee features a small cabin footprint with a vaulted ceiling and plush Queen size bed in an oak bed. A small bathroom with oversize shower makes this a cozy space for 2 people. A comfy love-seat completes this space. Mini-fridge, toaster oven and coffee pot are provided. Chickadee shares a connecting wall and front porch with Hummingbird, but each has its own entrance. Access to Chickadee requires a walk up a small hill with just a few stairs to the front porch.

The kitchen has a stove/oven, fridge, and coffee pot and is stocked with plates, cutlery, pots and pans. A roomy covered porch overlooks the hillside and creek that runs through out the property.
