Built in 1913, this historic Inn was once a male boarding house for the local aluminum smelting plant. During the town's hayday, it was also a stop over for entertainers like Mae West & W.C. Fields while here preforming at the local opera house. While staying at the Inn, guests enjoy relaxing in the rocking chairs on our wrap around veranda, sitting poolside, or getting in 18 holes on our Ross inspired golf course. A short distance from the Inn are an abundance of opportunities to occupy your time while enjoying your stay with us. Wineries, antiquing, hiking,& kayaking are very popular in the area.

We arrived late Friday evening; we caught the resturant just before closing. They prepared us a wonderful to go order, even offered for us to eat in the dining room. The food was amazing. The entire weekend was relaxing and low key. Friendly staff and the other guests were pleasant. Looking forward to doing it again.

I have stayed here once a year for the past three years in conjunction with a golf outing. Love the different and unique rooms. Beats the heck out of staying in generic hotel rooms. Always find the rooms and property clean and well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. Golf course has a lot of history and is fun to play.

This was our first experience with a B&B and we were thrilled with our experience. We had 2 rooms, the Badin Suite and the Edminster. The rooms were clean, the staff was very welcoming and the restaurant was fantastic! We have family in Albemarle and this trip was to attend a wedding. We usually stay in town at one of the hotels, but they are overpriced for what we're used to. Badin was perfect and we will definitely stay again! May 8-10, 2015. Shaw family from Arkansas.

When booking the room I told them we would use the sofa sleeper. My mom slept in the bedroom and said it was very comfortable. The sofa sleeper was missing 2 springs that hold the mattress which made it not very comfortable. There was no top sheet for the sofa sleeper and asked for that and never got it. Otherwise, the rooms are clean. I don't mind being self serve for breakfast, check in and check out and the area is very pretty. I would not stay in this particular room again though. Thank you.
Thank you for your review! The issue with the pull out sleeper has been brought to the attention of both Maintenance & Housekeeping. We would love to have you stay again and try out another room as they are all different. We hate you did not have a top notch experience & greatly appreciate your feedback so me may ensure things are corrected for the next guest coming in.

I have been looking for an opportunity to book a stay at the Badin Inn for quite some time. Only 15 minutes from the Pfeiffer University campus, they offer special rates for Pfeiffer guests. The inn is a charming little gem, and the suite was relaxing and very cozy. Didn't have a chance to eat in the restaurant, but if its quality and attention to detail is on par with the rest of the accommodations, it will certainly not disappoint. We'll stay here every time we visit our son at Pfeiffer!

I cannot say enough about how well we were taken care of by the innkeeper. I had to adjust my stay all of the time because I did not usually stay on the weekends and would come and go different days (arrive Sun or Mon and leave Wed. or Thurs.) She goes the extra mile, is flexible, pleasant, and seems to enjoy her job. We had sold our house sooner than expected and we needed a place to stay. Aubrey, the innkeeper, was very welcoming, professional and gave us details about the available options. We had checked out other options and none compared. We booked the condo for an extended stay, Oct.2014 until the middle of Jan. 2015. Lucus was our favorite, golf view, king bed, full kitchen, living room and plenty of room. This area hasn't been updated for awhile so the carpet and walls showed heavy use but is clean and comfortable. The price, location, accommodations, and friendly staff made it the best place ever! We would consider living here (at the Inn) if we did not need to move. When we come back to visit this area, we will definitely stay here! We have recommended this place to all of our friends. Dining: We had eaten here many times before our stay and the food was excellent, staff is always friendly and there were many wonderful events (music, bands, holiday specials, etc...). However, the menu has been cut and most of our favorite things to eat were dropped. It is still a nice place to hang out and grab something light to eat. Pizza night was always crowed. Their tossed salad is really good and I love their ranch dressing and hamburgers. The other items I tried was okay. The lower rating comes from being spoiled because I still remember the prime rib and prime rib sandwich they use to serve. The best I had eaten. If you are in the area, this is the place to stay!

We stayed for the Labor day Holiday weekend. It is a very calm, quiet place just a step from nature. From your window actually you can see the Forest outside. It´s really pleasant for a weekend out of the routine.

My boyfriend and I went day-hiking at the Uwharrie National Forest. The smallest room (Mae West) at the Badin Inn was a great place to sleep the nights before and after the hike. These are the main things I liked at the Badin Inn: The place is close to the Uwharrie National Forest, you can have a hearty breakfast from 8am, the staff is very kind, parking places abound, the rooms have excellent A/C, they have plenty of rocking chairs in the plaza to comfortably sit and read a book, it's quite easy to get there, it is very quiet and the rooms are pretty. Oh, they also have internet. The only minor drawback is the level of cleanness of the floors and carpets. Anyway, this place is good to stay at.
