Louisa’s Porch offers an intimate, home stay experience, more akin to borrowing a friend’s home than staying in a traditional B&B. There are only two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom en suite. Reserve a single room or, if you’d like the privacy of spending time with another couple, special friends or close family, reserve both rooms and take over the entire house. Either way, you’ll have a “morning butler” on hand to prepare a gourmet breakfast and clean your rooms. Your accommodations are both comfortable and conveniently located. Walk into the downtown and shop for unique gifts, art and antiques. The area is home to hundreds of accomplished artisans and many display their art in storefronts scattered throughout the nearby downtown. Asheville’s compact central district is somewhat similar to a European village is filled with delightful shops, sidewalk cafés and sophisticated restaurants.

Not only is the home cozy, beautiful and in the PERFECT location, Bob is an INCREDIBLE host. Wonderful conversation and great suggestions on places not-to-miss. He has hand chosen super friendly, attentive and creative chefs to prepare breakfast each morning. Cara and Joshua really know how to throw down in the kitchen. I can't remember the last time I had such delicious, fresh and still dreaming about today breakfasts that many days in a row! All of the ingredients were fresh, local and prepared with 100% pure love. We stayed 4 nights, (been home over a week) and we are still trying to get back to life in the real world. Next time we are in Asheville we WILL be staying at Louisa'a Porch. Oh! Did I mention HOT TUB!!!

We wish we had planned more time in Asheville. The delightful accommodations with Bob Talley at Louisa's Porch made the visit to Asheville more than we had expected. The B & B is beautiful, the room comfortable and spacious, the bath very nice and the bed comfortable, too. Breakfasts were delicious and meticulously prepared by Bob's nice and very friendly people.

A great place to stay in Asheville

Louisa's Porch is an excellent value near down town Asheville. The house is perfect! Very nicely decorated and completely rebuilt inside with great woodwork throughout and a general feeling of warmth! Our hosts were gracious and interesting to talk to! We would highly recommend Louisa's Porch to all of our friends!

Can't be beat for location -- walking distance to town -- and hospitality. It's billed as a "homestay" more than a B&B and that it is. You can get your cream from the downstairs fridge if you need coffee earlier in the a.m. If you're looking for Southern kitsch, this isn't it. (As one reviewer wrote, not a dollie in sight!). Owner has done a simple and lovely total remodel of a 100-year-old home in the historic district. I'd return and bring along another couple, stock the upstairs wine cooler with some lovely wine, sip it in the back garden and enjoy all the hospitality Asheville has to offer.

Excellent location, friendly atmosphere, new and clean rooms. Breakfast was good and healthy, yet hardy.
