The Gingerbread House was built in 1898 by one of Virginia City's most prominent citizens, C. W. Rank. This Victorian treasure, and the two cabins situated just behind, it are located one block away from historic attractions, shops and restaurants. There are two rooms in the house, The Alder Room and The Madison Room. The cabins, The Bickford and The Calamity Jane, sit just in back of the house. They each have their own separate entrances and porches but can be interconnected from within so that families or friends can move in between easily to enjoy each other's company or close a door for privacy. All the guests rooms and cabins enjoy a comprehensive continental breakfast featuring home baked goods. For stays in the house a more traditional breakfast can be substituted. Guests in the house are also encouraged to partake in wine and appetizers provided in the late afternnoon. Guest robes are provided in both the Alder and Madison Rooms.

Go up 1 block and turn left on to Idaho St. Go down 1 block and The Gingerbread House is on the corner on the left. Coming from the west turn right on Broadway and go up 1 block and turn left on to Idaho Street and go down 1 block as above.
