we remember these guests very well. They stayed with us for ten days, and they seemed very satisfied and congenial. We were stunned when we received a negative review from them. We sincerely regret that, in spite of our hard work to satisfiy their needs and to engage them on a meaningful level, they were clearly not happy. We take pride in being real servants to our guests: working hard to see that they are comfortable and satisfied, that they are connected with area activities, and welcoming them into our home as if they were family. We are very good at what we do.......in the eight years that we have been in committed service at Mission Creek B and B, receiving hundreds of guests (now friends), this is the FIRST AND ONLY negative review we have received. Rather than to dispute, endlessly, each of the complaints (40 degrees??? In August??? In Montana??? Really? ..'Nuff said), we will respond by saying that we love to cook and ALWAYS provide abundant, nutritious, and sumptuous meals at breakfast. Often, our guests request copies of our recipes. Breakfast is our favorite meal. There is always laughter, sometimes tears, engaging conversation, great stories (some of them, lies), and camaraderie all around!! Our rooms are clean, large and appealing. The natural beauty that surrounds us is matchless (though, we don't pretend to claim responsibility for that). But, the best we have to offer here is friendship. We encourage our guests to share their lives with us, just as we share our lives, profoundly , with them. As a result, we thank God for the dear friends we have made over the years at Mission Creek, many of whom return year after year. (Thank you, dear friends). And so, if you leave our home and do not feel like family, or at least friends, if you leave not having been cared for, then WE HAVE NOT DONE OUR JOB, as in the case of these guests. Perplexed as we are, we apologize. For these offended people, we pray God's blessing.
