This B&B is one of my favorites. I actually grew up in Natchez so this review should be helpful to those of you that are on the fence about spending the extra coins on a B&B. The beautiful house is decorated with great flair and taste. With only two suites, it feels like your own private weekend get-a-way. You won’t have to worry about a loud and obnoxious family with 4 kids running up and down the stairs, because this is not a place to bring the children. There is a hotel a couple of blocks away that serves that purpose. Guys, if you really want to impress your woman, I highly recommend that you let Dr. Lee and Michelle help you create the perfect weekend. Prices for these extras won’t step on your wallet. You want flowers in the room…boom, the flowers just show up with a card. Chocolate and Strawberries on the bed…. like magic, there they are. Even her favorite adult beverage could be waiting with a bucket of ice and limes in the fridge. Make the weekend special and let the love of your life know how special she really is. Leave with a huge smile on both of your faces. Breakfast is off site, but Dr. Lee picks up the tab. The Castle at Dunleith Restaurant for breakfast is very nice, well worth the 8 minute drive. Trust me. The two best drinks to have at this B&B is a Moscow Mule and a Jerry Mule. Asked Michelle to run over to Darby’s and pick up two copper mugs and have them waiting in the room. Darby’s fudge is outstanding as well. Again, you have to trust me on this. I also suggest you have Michelle get a bottle of Sailor Jerry and a top shelf Vodka to await your arrival. Guys, this is the best liquid courage to keep your woman very happy. Let’s start a tradition, leave a copper mug for the next guest.

This is a great BnB, no onsite dinning, but they give you a voucher which I thought was even better. Had a great experience, highly recommend.

The Rising Sun B & B was the perfect place for us. The owner and manager both were very helpful both before our stay and while we were there. The home is beautifully done. There are common areas for the guests to congregate both inside and on the porches and balconies, as well as private balconies. The room was spacious, immaculate and stocked with everything we needed. It was situated just a block or two from the historic downtown so we could walk everywhere. We really enjoyed the breakfast that they offered - it was a certificate to go to Dunleith for their breakfast which was lovely. We had a great time in Natchez and at the Rising Sun B & B.

My husband and I visit Natchez several times a year for little weekend getaways. We have stayed many places and have found Rising Sun to be one of our favorites. It has a great location with proximity to our favorite eating/entertainment, lavish comfort, and warm welcome hospitality. Our stay included a delicious complimentary breakfast at Natchez' favorite The Castle, located at the beautiful Dunleith, lots of little complimentary extras, and beautiful sunrises/sunsets on the balcony. You can't go wrong with a stay at the Rising Sun!

We loved this B&B! Michelle was wonderful to work with before we checked in, and Lee was very gracious when we arrived. The home was simply stunning and our bedroom very large and comfortable (Regal Suite). As B&B owners ourselves, we can be pretty particular because we expect the same clean, friendly accommodations we provide for our own guests, and Lee's Rising Sun does just that. Breakfast at Dunleith the next morning was very tasty, and such a unique place to visit! Thank you, Lee -- we will be back!

This was my single most pleasant stay in any bnb. It also surpassed any stay that I've had at a hotel or resort as well! Well appointed, pristinely clean, great people. No more could be said. Don't miss this spot.

We had a one night stay at the Rising Sun in April 2014. The location is perfect, the room was large and comfortable, the common areas (living room, porches, etc.) were all nice. We will be back!

The location was excellent. Within in easy walking distance to downtowns shops, restaurants and places of interest. One could easily park their car and not use it at all. The nice thing was, private parking was provided. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor living spaces and balcony. The rooms were very elegantly and tastefully decorated, clean and extremely comfortable. We highly recommend Rising Sun. We will stay here on our return visit in the future.

What a wonderful place to stay in Natchez. Our courteous and gracious host Dr., Turk and his manager Bill made our stay very delightful. They shared the history of the house, beautiful jade and ivory collections and Natchez history with us as if we were family. My only disappointment is that we were only able to stay for one day. Should we return to Natchez we will definitely stay here again. This is a beautifully restored home and well worth your time to visit if you are looking for accommodations in Natchez. Thank-You for sharing with us. Ted and Taunya L.

Rising Sun B&B exceeded expectations. B&B staff were very friendly and the home was very beautiful. Out of all of the previous travels and lodging stays; Rising Sun B&B is one of the best.

This home is breathtaking - high end furnishings well-blended with antique furniture and decor. The atmosphere is relaxing and secure. We will gladly recommend the Rising Sun to our friends.

We cannot express enough our positively, WONDERFUL stay at this beautiful home. Dr. Turk was very gracious in meeting us and sharing some stories of his collection of jade and ivory. The manager, Joan, was also very accommodating in telling us about all the amenities and answering any of our questions. The house was immaculate and very clean. The bedding was sumptuous and comfortable and the room snacks were an unexpected treat. We cannot wait to return as soon as we can!

Truly a refreshing beautiful home. The owner makes this 5 star BnB a delightful stay. The history and charm of the Ivory collection is 2nd to none. Is truly representative of Natchez.Grace and Pride.

We stayed in the Ivory room. The room was very nice and the bed was EXTRA comfy! Wish we could have stayed longer but it was long enough to relax for the day.

We stayed at the Rising Sun for two nights during my mother's family reunion in May. This house has two beautifully furnished rooms available for rental. We stayed in the larger of the two. Normally they do not accomodate children, but Mr. Turk kindly made an exception for our ten year old daughter since we agreed to bring an air matress for her to sleep on. Once we checked in, we were left alone with a cell number to contact our host if need be, which suited us fine. For breakfast you are given a choice of the Eola Hotel or the Castle Restaurant at Dunlieth. Since we were there for two mornings we tried both. We wished we had chosen the Castle for both, the quality was much higher. The room was clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was that the snacks left in the room were very stale. Obviosly they haven't bothered re-stocking the snack cabinet and quite a while. Over-all I'd say we would stay there again. Very nice room for the price.

My husband and I had a pleasant, relaxing stay. The "breakfast out" was great because it allowed us to sleep late! The jacuzzi tub, fireplace, bar, and everything made us feel like we were at home (without the stress & distractions).

My wife, myself and another couple stayed 1 night at the Rising Sun and was completely satisfied with both the two rooms and the owner of the B&B, He made the stay completely perfect!

I had a most wonderful time. I took my new bride to Dr Leigh's Bed & Breakfast Inn, the Rising Sun in Natchez. My new wife as well as myself enjoyed Dr Leigh's gererous hospitality and every minute of our stay. I highly recomend this Inn if you are looking for some Old South Charm with a great location to everything in Natchez including its easy walk to the Mississippi River Bluff.

I have to say that our stay at Rising Sun has been the most relaxing and wonderful trip we have ever had... The staff at Rising sun has gone above and beyond to make our stay so wonderful... We felt right at home in the Ivory Rome... The other rooms were beautiful as well... Our room was fully stocked with what ever we wished to drink... Our room was cleaned daily and was immaculate... There are so many "perks" associated with staying at Rising Sun... It is within walking distance of shopping, tours, and some of the best dining in town...Or breakfast was wonderful on a daily basis and we had a choice of the places we wish to have our breakfast at... Dunleith was great and the free tour was the best of every tour we went on. Our guide David made you feel like you were part of that time in history. We also enjoyed our breakfast at the Eola Hotel... It was a wonderful experience... I highly recommend Rising Sun and will return again to stay there...
