Linden Bed and Breakfast

About

Linden is beautifully situated in a serene park-like seven acre setting. The quiet and beauty of our grounds leads you to believe you are out in the country, yet Linden is just 3 or 4 minutes from the center of downtown Natchez and just a mile from the Mississippi River. A very large number of National and State Historic Registry sites can be seen within our walkable downtown area. When you come to stay at Linden, you will reside within the walls of the home; there are no dependencies or out-buildings at Linden. You will breakfast in the formal dining room, as favored guests should. We realize and appreciate the privilege you have given us by choosing Linden for your stay in Natchez. We believe that you deserve to experience true Southern Hospitality that meets and in fact exceeds your expectations.

Natchez weekend

3.2 on April 06, 2016

The stay here was most enjoyable. It was like living in the era. Entertaining and educational of times gone by. All of the people were very friendly. We enjoyed it.

Great place to stay! Love Ann and Angela and Mes Feltus was a hoot!

Love the personal touches! The breakfast was typically southern with preserves and grits!

Our recent stay

3.0 on January 17, 2016

We arrived to find a note placed on a door telling us to follow arrows to the room and never were greeted by staff although some other guests were around who were nice. Our granddaughter kept us up that night and we overslept the breakfast time to be awakened by loud knocking on our door that breakfast had started and then more loud knocking about fifteen minutes later. We could not get there in time and when we came out about 45 minutes later were told the breakfast and tour was over so we missed it. There was no attempt to even let us look around or anything so we just left then.

Innkeeper Response
My apologies for any difficulties you may have experienced during your stay at Linden. Generally, when guests arrive after 7:00 p.m. – we do leave a note to follow the arrows to your room if the owner is asleep or not on the property. As this is a residential home and not a hotel this method has worked for us in the past. I hope that you did not have any trouble finding your room. My apologies for your missing breakfast and the tour, not knowing that this had happened, I wish the staff had communicated it to me and I would have given you a tour and offered you something to eat. Once again, my regrets for any inconvenience you experienced while staying at Linden.

Southern charm and hospitality

4.6 on October 09, 2015

Both my wife and I greatly enjoyed the charm and hospitality of Linden. The manager, Ann, was very helpful through the reservation process, even sending suggestions for a scenic route, time permitting. On arrival she showed us the house and our room as well as suggestions for local dining and things to see and do. The next morning after a delicious breakfast she gave us a tour of the house and an overview of its history. We also met Mrs. Feltus, the owner, who over the years had restored the house, creating the B&B; what a delightful and entertaining lady! A wonderful experience at Linden.
