Maple Terrace Inn is located 1.5 miles from the Natchez Trace Parkway. Overlooking the historic area from a hilltop two blocks off the court square, the 1912 eclectic home is a pleasant blend of Colonial Revival, Arts & Crafts and Prairie styles. Listed on the National Historic Register, the newly restored inn offers comfortable accommodations with four guest rooms each with private bath. Two blocks from the Maple Terrace B&B, the downtown boasts a Courthouse Square that has recently been revitalized as a Main Street USA Project. The historic Square offers local color in cafes and quaint shops including fine jewelry, clothing and collectibles. For antique buffs, there are several antique stores and malls located on or around the Square. Kosciusko Mississippi has been listed twice as one of America's top 100 best small towns and is located on the historic Natchez Trace Parkway. Birthplace of Oprah Winfrey, the city hosts the Natchez Trace Festival on the last Saturday of each April. It's tea time, all the time, at the Maple Terrace Inn where guests are invited to refreshments on the large screened porch. It's the perfect place to read about the Aaron Storer family and the ghost of Old Frank Olive.

We really enjoyed our brief visit while attending a family reunion a few miles south of Kosciusko. Great clean rooms, comfortable queen beds, and wonderful breakfast cooked to order by Pamela. Our extended families have spent a lot of nights at the "motels on the bypass" while visiting family in the area. This was our first time at Maple Terrace but it will not be the last!

Bird watching, Horseshoes, The Maple Terrace Inn Victrola: Reminiscent of a bygone day in the small town South, it sounds triple forte for awhile. Winding down, it soon stops to contrast some rather ill tempos with a sudden perfect serenity conducive to rest, maybe some romance, and definitely a good night's sleep. Such an atmosphere is re-created at the Maple Terrace Inn.
