Built in the 1800's,meticulously renovated and opened June 2009, and on the National Historic Register, the Como Inn on Main is perched above an old storefront overlooking Main Street and blues markers for Mississippi Fred McDowell and Othar Turner on the Mississippi Blues Trail. With three outstanding restaurants just steps away, did we mention Como Steakhouse?, the inn features 6 guestrooms with private baths, a large gathering hall, library and kitchen. The veranda off the kitchen is a wonderful place to have breakfast or just sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of Como. Event venue below the Inn accomodates up to 100. We stayed here three nights this spring. Everything exceeded my expectations at Oak Avenue in the Guest House. The Accomodations were top of the line. Frances and James provide not only delicious breakfast choices, but many more little extras that make a guest feel welcome. My husband and I enjoyed the peaceful setting, the spa, and the "Oh so heavenly" nights sleep after a busy day. I wouldn't change a thing.

For Como Inn on Main, from I-55, take exit 257(Como). Turn right going west on state highway 310. Drive 1 mile, go over the railroad tracks. Turn right onto Main street. Como Inn on Main is located at 215 Main Street. Our sign is hanging on the front of the building. We are next door to the Windy City Grille.

Take the Winchester Road West ramp onto Winchester Road for 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Airways Road for 2.3 miles. Turn right onto Shelby Drive (west) for 0.8 miles. Merge onto I-55 South via the ramp on the left toward Jackson, Ms. crossing into Mississippi for 35.8 miles. Take exit 257 (Como) to the right onto state highway 310 west. Como Inn on Main is located at 215 Main Street.
