the hotel is very well located inside the medina, which is good in the sense of its authenticity but it makes it slighly hard to access when getting there for the first time. in any case the riad is well known by people and you will be easily conducted from the babou jeloud if you are able to communicate with locals (french/arab). mistrust guides that will spontaneously come to talk to you. another option is to hire a cab from the riad. they can come pick you up at the airport for around 15€ or to the train station (around). for the latter, the prices is significantly higher than a "petit taxi" although you may enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that there will be someone waiting for you in the train station that will take you "safely" to the riad. on top of that, waiting for a taxi in the train station takes time taking into account that fez is a big city and there are lots of local travelers seeking for a taxi at the train station. in terms of the ownership of the hotel, it is very well managed and i can assure you that the owner will try his best for you to enjoy the hotel and get the most out of the city. the owner is a long-term player and is full aware of the importance of building a good reputation for his hotel. i stayed only a couple of days in fez
