Rendola Riding is a small organic farm in the Chianti hills overlooking the Arno valley. It is easy to reach by car or by train, but when you get there you feel you are entering a different world… Rendola Riding was founded in 1969 by Jenny Bawtree, an Englishwoman enamoured of horses and Tuscany, and has since become a well-known Horseback Riding and Farm Holiday Centre. Situated at a thousand feet above sea-level on the slopes of the Chianti hills, it has marvellous views over the Arno valley. Guests stay in a lovingly restored Tuscan farmhouse. Some come to go horseback riding or walking, others to visit the art cities of Florence, Arezzo and Siena, and also the hidden treasures of “Minor Tuscany”. Yet others come simply to escape the stress of city life and take refuge in this oasis of tranquillity. Rendola Riding is not a luxurious villa, nor a country house hotel: as it is a family home the atmosphere is informal and friendly. Our guests become our friends and often return time and time again.

The name "Guinzano" drift, listening to the tradition, by the ancient dialect of Gubbio, and it means that piece of land in the bottom (from "Guinza" piece). The historical traces of Guinzano are already in the maps of 1600, identified as farm, where several families lived, the proof is the communal oven for baking bread in the courtyard, and an old kiln for firing bricks nearby. Our 6 rooms are located upstairs, but one equiped for disabled on the ground floor, where there were the homes of residents, each room is furnished with original furniture, all of which come from family homes, and are equipped with private bathroom and air conditioning. The farm has a restaurant. Special care is put into the preparations, the food is not only seen as a way of eating, but as a culture and history of the territory, rediscover the flavors and moment of convivialityand for this we devote time and care in the search for products outside the retail but organic or traditional.
