we have been staying with john and carma for about 13 or 14 years now it is a great experience.we never tire of going there as relaxing in the cabin or outside in the open is just awsome we could not ask for better hosts then john and carma

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Just An Experience and loved it! Carma and John are both treasures and their hospitality is unmatched. We relaxed & read in the comfy cabin, enjoyed 3 delicious meals which were graciously served and beautifully presented, explored Virginia City & Nevada City (both tranquil this time of year), took a nighttime soak in the hot tub, and did a lot of visiting with the hosts. Great fun. We plan to go back as soon as we can and bring others with us.

Ive been to Just An Experience over ten different times now. We used to go to the surrounding area to see all the history of Virginia and Nevada City and to enjoy the outdoors. Now we like to go just to visit John and Carma and get away from it all. Ive never met two more genuine people. They have taught us a lot about life. They are always willing to help and tell their awesome stories. They go out of their way to make sure everyone has the best time of their life. The food is amazing. You would think your at a 5 star restaurant. Everything is supremely clean and comfy. The scenery is great. Its very common to see local wildlife out on the lawn. In the fall you can even hear the elk bugle from the windows. Every time we come here its Just An Experience like their name says. There is no other way to put it. You do not want to miss coming here. It is the highlight of anyone's trips out to this area. Check it out and you wont be disappointed!

Spent 2 nights in a cabin with my daughter (who LOVED the loft) - and while we had total privacy, we were close enough to the 'main house' and hot tub to feel that we were in a special place. Quiet, clean, comfortable, and convenient - we enjoyed the ambience, the food, and the entire experience. John and Carma were gracious, and left us to our own devices but were very accessible.

Eclectic collection of antiques, including a cast-iron bed brought to the area in 1870. Quiet, comfortable and perfect for that distinctive visit to Montana! Queen size bed, full shower bathroom. On the Main Floor of the Lodge, only three steps onto the floor level from the yard. Within 20 feet of the dining room and shared common area. Great room for socialites and early coffee drinkers!

Located on the Main floor of the Lodge, each room offers comfort with western Victorian decor, polished wood dressers and antique items. Our largest cabin, its honey-colored logs and pine paneling inside add to the rustic weathered outside. Relax on the front porch and enjoy the fresh air, wildlife and gardens. A private bedroom with queen size bed, full kitchen with all pots, pans, dishes, microwave, refrigerator and stove plus living room with color television and DVD on the Main Floor. The open loft offers two twin beds and a double bed - kids call it a "tree house" because of the log stairway! The living room also has a futon bed/couch. Full bathroom with shower. Out the back door is a smaller yard with BBQ grill.

Just An Experience offers clean, attractive, comfortable rooms, a delicious breakfast and if you choose, dinner as well. Hosts John & Carma are excellent advisers on what to see and do in Nevada City. Our time with them was the highlight of our trip.

We spent two wonderful days with John & Carma in one of their rustic cabins. Very cozy, well-furnished, comfortable beds & fully stocked kitchen. Carma provided delicious, hearty breakfasts. Warm hospitality and information on all the area sights (Virginia City, Nevada City, etc.) was offered.

We stayed in one of the cabins. It just added to the old western town flavor. John & Carma made our stay even more special. We had such a nice time, we had an experience at Just an Experience B&B that we will remember for a long time.

Just returned from "Just an Experience" B & B. It was great. John and Carma were friendly, hospitable and so knowledgeable about the history of the area. They recommended excellent places to eat and see. The delicious breakfasts each morning were served in style and were just as good as the looked. Our room in the house comfortable as well as fun because of the vintage decor. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning and enjoying the view as well as that bottomless cup of coffee. So glad we selected this B & B and they had room for us.

From Butte: I-90 East take Whitehall exit south, Hwy 41 to Twin Bridges then continue on Hwy 287 W to Virginia City. Towns you will pass through are Sheridan, Laurin, and Alder. Eight miles further past Alder is Nevada City. We're located on the East side of Nevada City, past all the old buildings - if you reach Virginia City you have passed us!

At Junction 287 in Ennis, turn Right toward Virginia City. Travel through Virginia City and one mile further on 287 is Nevada City. We are on the Right hand side of the highway - look for our sign!
