Laughing Horse Lodge
For centuries Montana’s Swan Valley has played host to a colorful variety of explorers seeking adventure and wealth in its rugged mountains and cascading streams. As you hike the Alpine Trail or leisurely kayak Swan Lake, listen and you may hear the echoed voices of trappers and wilderness homesteaders; look closely, and you may find the remnants of trails made by native tribes and reclusive mountain men.
Today, the village of Swan Lake welcomes the modern traveler to Laughing Horse Lodge. A true European-style road side inn, the Lodge provides comfortable lodging and gourmet dining, as well as the company of two felines, two Golden Retrievers, and a loquacious parrot named Samson.
Nestled between the rugged Swan and Mission Mountain ranges at the southern end of Swan Lake, the Lodge provides a perfect base for exploring Glacier National Park, Jewel Basin, and the Bob Marshall Wilderness. Join your hosts, Rich and Kathleen, for world class fly fishing, backcountry skiing, biking, big game hunting, bird watching or just sitting by the fire with a good book and a fine glass of wine. For a day or a week, the Lodge will make your Montana adventure truly memorable.
