Inn Details

27 miles west of Missoula, easy access to Interstate 90 makes the "Ghost Rails Inn" a convenient and colorful stop between Yellowstone and Seattle. The quiet small-town of Alberton is minutes from "The Alberton Gorge" on the Clark Fork River, making the "Ghost Rails Inn" a handy place for fishermen and whitewater enthusiasts. This historic railroad hotel, built in 1909, has 9 pretty guest rooms; 7 with private baths and 2 share a bath. Grace's quilts adorn every room. (We are a destination for quilt retreats!) Free wireless internet throughout the hotel. The big dining room and shady courtyard are perfect places for small group gathering to meet in old-fashioned comfort. Delicious breakfasts are always a delight. Today the Milwaukee Road rails are gone - but the spirit lives on. A few seem to linger in our hotel. . .
