Our favorite getaway

5 on October 06, 2015

The Fluer-de-Lys has become our favorite getaway. So much so in fact that we reserved the mansion for our wedding before we were even engaged! You simply can't beat the warm atmosphere, professional and friendly hospitality, and beautiful architecture/decorating. Gary and Jerilyn are about the nicest people you could hope to meet and make the stay worth far more than you'll pay. Don't skip the delicious breakfast!

Best place in STL

Our stay was exceptional! We had a miscommunication at first, but the owners apologized and comped our stay, which was unexpected. We stayed in the Forrest Park Suite, which is honestly the best room in the mansion. The room was luxurious, romantic, clean and extremely comfortable. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. We honestly wanted to stay longer, but all rooms were booked. It may be a bit pricey, but definitely consider it for a special occasion!

Our First Bed and Breakfast Experience

5 on August 28, 2012

My husband and I had never stayed in a Bed and Breakfast before, and decided to make this our first one! Upon first walking in, we were warmly greeted by Jan, who I instantly fell in love with. She gave my husband and I a tour of the house along with some fascinating history of when it was built and how her and her husband came to own it. The hospitality that was received, was out of this world. Fresh baked cookies every day, fully stocked fridge in the kitchen and a mini fridge upstairs with sodas, water, juice and snacks. There was even a small pantry that contained items that travelers may have forgotten to pack. Everyone was so attentive, polite and friendly! The hot tub/spa area was a treat! The lavender scented heavenly 600 thread count Egyptian Cotton sheets were amazing! We never wanted to leave. We truly enjoyed our visit to Missouri and our experience at this lovely B&B! After the experience that we had, who would ever want to go back to a hotel again?

Great B&B Experience!

Jan and Dave are wonderful hosts, the inn is very special, and the Christmas decorations fit perfectly. We definitely will return, and we definitely recommend the Fleur-de-Lys to anyone coming to St. Louis, or just looking for a special place to stay.

A lovely place to stay

We recently went to St Louis on short notice and the upscale hotel we usually stay at was booked. I obtained reservations at the Fleur-de-Lys and was greatly impressed. My wife and I have found a new destination when we return to St. Louis.

Amazing Bed and Breakfast

The Fleur de Lys Mansion was exquisite. Jan was an amazing host as Vicki. There is nothing they haven't thought of. They took care of all the little things and truly made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this B&B to everyone.

Gracious and Beautiful!

Jan and Dave have created a beautiful environment and welcome each guest with a gracious warmth. Each room is perfectly appointed, the breakfasts fitting French royalty, wi-fi available if you simply must stay connected and you will be greeted with a warm, homemade cookie! Everyone simply must stay here at least once!

Tower Grove Park

As romantic as the historic Victorian walking park just a few blocks south of the Mansion, for which this suite is named, you'll find yourself beckoned irresistibly to nestle into the opulent Victorian king-size bed plumped high with enormous pillows and comforters, or swoon in sheer delight on the Victorian fainting couch. In the private bath is a Jacuzzi for two, a separate shower and heated towel bar complete with the Mansion's oversized Egyptian cotton towels. You may also choose to relax in the loveseat and enjoy the HDTV or DVD player.

Forest Park

The Forest Park Suite is as impressive as its namesake, the crown jewel of St. Louis parks and site of the 1904 World's Fair. A little corner of that park has been brought inside this luxurious guest suite in the form of a large wall mural painted local artist Leslie Faust and featuring the view across the lake and up Art Hill toward the Saint Louis Art Museum. The mural serves as the backdrop for the double Jacuzzi waiting for you in one corner of the enormous bedroom. Other features include a king-size bed, a cherry armoire, and a chaise for relaxation, along with HDTV and DVD player. The spacious private bath features tub, shower, and twin sinks.

Reservoir Park

Have you ever dreamed of a cozy nook in a large bay window overlooking an expanse of grass and trees? Here's your room. Along with its view of historic Reservoir Park, you'll see the dramatic, soaring, carved-stone water tower dating back to just after the Civil War. The room itself has an aura of old Southern charm, accented with hunting prints and featuring a graceful queen-size four poster plantation bed, a Louis XV chair and a massive mirrored antique English armoire. There's an attached private bath, of course, and HDTV with DVD player.

  • Maximum Capacity: 2
  • Bathroom Private Bath
  • Beds 1 Queen

Nightly Rate: $160 - $215

Botanical Garden

One of the most charming and cloistered places in all Saint Louis is the Missouri Botanical Garden, just a few short blocks from the Mansion. The Botanical Garden lends its name to this sunny room featuring botanical prints and a queen-size carved wood sleigh bed. You can relax in the comfortable chairs situated in the large bay window as you gaze upon the park across the street, enjoy a good book, or watch cable HDTV or a DVD movie. Your private bath features a heated towel rack and a floral tile mural in the shower.

  • Maximum Capacity: 2
  • Bathroom Private Bath
  • Beds 1 Queen

Nightly Rate: $160 - $215
