Comfortable luxury, privacy, and relaxation... The Terrace Avenue Inn, a historical Dutch Colonial built in 1923 - revived now as a guest cottage bed and breakfast. Small hotel amenities. Guests enjoy light use of the kitchen. The common room is the cottage style dining room. We are known for our luxurious honeymoon suite with private treetop porch. Tucked beside Downtown Liberty, Missouri and part of the Greater Kansas City Area. Anna Marie's Teas, our teashop, is located on the first floor. Tea is our specialty!

We stayed 2 nights in the Cottage Nook for our 10th anniversary. We loved the inn and how comfortable the bed was. The room was on the first floor with its own entrance. Brenda and Al were wonderful; they set out a nice array of teas from the tea shop for us to try during our stay. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely stay here.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We are so happy your stay was comfortable and relaxing. We hope you will be able to come back and enjoy our teas and inn!

We stayed in the Terrace suite for Valentines weekend. We loved the room! The bed was so comfortable! Our only recommendation would be for a little loveseat for lounging. The balcony was beautiful and we would have sat out there if the weather had been warmer. Al was a great host and we really Enjoyed talking with him! We loved the teas and being able to try so many was wonderful! We'd definitely come back again!!
Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate your words are so happy your special weekend was wonderful! We will look forward to having you come back for another getaway. Also, that is a great idea about the loveseat - that would be a wonderful addition. Glad you mentioned it to us!

We stayed two nights in the Terrace Suite at The Terrace Avenue Inn for a birthday surprise. It was very relaxing and peaceful. The innkeepers are wonderful and genuinely care about your experience while staying there. The tea is great and breakfast each morning is worth waking up for! It is in a lovely location, close to the historic downtown buildings and also close to all the shopping and area restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay in Liberty. Todd and Jennifer
Thank you Todd and Jennifer for your kind review! We are glad you had a relaxing getaway and enjoyed Liberty. Please come back again soon!

We stayed here for our 3 year anniversary and weren't sure what to expect as we have never been to a bed and breakfast before. Brenda and Al exceeded our expectations. Their hospitality was amazing and the home was beautiful. Al offered lots of suggestions of things to do in the area for entertainment. Our room was beautiful and the beds are AMAZING. Brenda's homemade scones were great as was the tea they served us. I would definitely recommend this place for a stay and we will be back to experience the other rooms in the house.
Thank you for your review!! We were honored to have you choose our Inn for your 3 year wedding celebration. I know Al and Brenda appreciated you both and we do hope you will come back again!!

We needed a place to get away after our oldest daughter got married and this B&B was perfect!!! Al and Brenda were the nicest Inn Keepers and everything from check-in to check-out was hassle-free. The breakfast each morning was delicious and the perfect amount (and visiting with Brenda was an added Bonus). The bed in the Terrace Suite was the most comfortable I've ever slept in! We stayed in our room almost the entire first day of our stay--it was that cozy. Having access to the kitchen also was a nice feature. Will for sure stay there again. Thanks so much!
We appreciate your feedback so much! Thank you for taking the time to let us know how we are doing. We are so happy the suite provided a relaxing place to just get away after such a momentous event in your family! Please come back again soon. Thank you!

My wife found Terrace Avenue Inn in 2010 and we stayed during the first part of our vacation that took us through several states and four Bed and Breakfasts. Terrace Avenue Inn spoiled us on what to expect at the other stops. We enjoyed it so much we made plans in 2011 to meet friends there for a few days on our next vacation. Now we are back from visiting again in 2012 and already making plans on returning this Fall. Brenda is a gracious host and prepares a delicious breakfast. We have come to think of Brenda, Al, Salena and Sarah as friends rather than “the innkeepers.” If you like, the conversation is easy and friendly. We enjoy the tea and frequently order during the year. We have stayed in each of the three rooms and have enjoyed them all but the Terrace Room Suite is a real treat. In addition to the things to do and see in Liberty the Inn’s location makes it easy for being able to make quick trips to Independence for the Truman Library and home, Kansas City for tons of stuff including the very best military museum I have seen - the National WW I Museum at Liberty Memorial, Kearney for Jessie James’ farm, Jamesport for Amish furniture and on and on. The Terrace Avenue Inn honestly gets our highest recommendation.

Wonderful accommodations and the fact it is part of a tea shop makes it even more charming. A great place for my wife and I to spend our first anniversary. Brenda was friendly but didn't push conversation. She allowed us to chat as much or as little as we wanted to with her.

My husband and I have stayed here twice, once last year and then this year. It's becoming an annual tradition when we visit family here. It's always relaxing and wonderful. We always book the king-size bed room with the balcony and are never disappointed. Brenda is super nice and will help recommend various teas if you're a novice, like me. She's actually getting me into teas now! The place is so relaxing and quiet, the food is delicious, especially the chocolate-chip scones! We will definitely be back for great atmosphere and such a nice place to unwind after a busy day.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay here in Liberty, Missouri. The room was nicely decorated, and we enjoyed sitting out on the porch later that evening. The close proximity to the historic downtown also added to the pleasant atmosphere, as did the many varieties of luxurious teas which could be sampled for breakfast. A great place to stay and relax for a day or two!
