Stayed in the Painted Lady Cottage House w/my 3 girls & was HIGHLY Disappointed. The kitchen cabinets were full of ants (a dead ant was even on a bed) - a bug in the tub & spiders falling from the ceiling. The burner covers on the stove were so old & corroded that there was no way I would of cooked on it. Dust was thick on lamb shades....it just didn't feel very clean. Breakfast was also a BIG Disappointment. I guess our expectations were rather high because of their very Pricey Dinner menu...but it was rather plain. Plus the host made us feel rushed w/our breakfast & on checking out. Just didn't have a WELCOME Feel at all. I've stayed in lots of B & B's & this is one that I could not recommend. Did have 2 rooms booked in the main house for a get-a-way w/my husband & another couple for later this summer but after this stay ...cancelled & decided to stay elsewhere.

    Very Neat Place! Great Value!

We stayed at a former law office downtown about four blocks from Lulabelle's itself. The room was a little small but had a fridge, a perfectly nice bed, and a huge ceiling. The architectural features were fun to see within the old place. The hosts were attentive, including lending us a corkscrew at a late hour. Across the street is a delightful Italian restaurant, and the breakfast at Lulabelle's was standard bacon-and-eggs hearty fare (so if you need fussy, not your place). The room was a fantastic value, and I really recommended it.
