This is the note I wrote the innkeeper: Thank you so much for providing the perfect place for our family “Girl’s” Weekend! We loved every minute of time together, and enjoyed the whole house rental very much. The little touches you provided – great breakfast, lovely restful rooms, wonderful amenities – wow. We enjoyed Winona too, even though the weather wasn’t ideal. We had fun shopping and eating – went to the Vault and Bub’s – two favorites, I think. We also visited the Blue Heron and the winery up the road, Garvin Heights Vineyards, plus had pizza and watched a movie. We had to leave some things undone for the next time! We even talked about booking for the same time next year. No way could it snow on April 14 two years in a row, right? Again, thank you! We will be back!

Wonderful spot. Great common area that a larger group can relax together. Anne is a great hostess. She does not reside in the building but makes sure that you have everything that you need. Much better than any motel/hotel and about the same price.

Our stay at the Village House was delightful! The rooms are comfortable, clean, and tastefully decorated. Anne, the Innkeeper, was so gracious and accommodating. We enjoyed a full weekend including walking around the lakes, hiking the trails at St. Mary's College, visiting a local winery and a wonderful meal at Signatures restaurant. We will certainly stay at the Village House on our next trip to Winona!
