    Red Hatters enjoy High Tea!!

    October 09, 2012

The Alexsangria Red Hatters from Alexandria spent an amazing afternoon having a delicious lunch served in Jann's beautifully furnished tea room. We also toured her charming Bed & Breakfast rooms and the Pullman cars, which were stunning with all the bygone era amenities they included. All of the ladies are now busy convincing their husbands this is the perfect overnight anniversary trip to take. Don't miss this gem in New York Mills.

    Sister time...

    July 15, 2012

On a beautiful Sunday in June, seven sisters spent a delightful night at The Whistle Stop. We stayed in the Imperial Pullman and the Caboose. Both were impeccably furnished with so many special details and were very clean and comfortable. We come from a railroad family so this was a special treat for us. The rates were good, the service outstanding and the breakfast was superb. Jann and Lori were so warm and friendly that they made us feel like old friends yet we had just met. We loved our time at The Whistle Stop and highly recommend it! Cheri

Whistle Stop B&B has all the bells and whistles!!

    May 28, 2012

My husband and I stayed in the Imperial Car for our 6th anniversary. I was really excited when we booked our car, but I couldn't believe how beautiful our car was until we saw it in person. We have stayed in many bed and breakfasts, but this was by far the most unique. There was personal touches everywhere around the car from antiques to little items waiting for us to make our stay special. You could really tell the time and energy that went into creating this bed and breakfast. I love the 1900 era and the car really reflected the style of the period. It was easy to get comfortable right away. We put on our comfy robes and sat by the fire place. The jacuzzi room was a nice way to the end night. I wish we could have stayed more than one night. We woke up to an amazing breakfast at our door. We sat in the old breakfast nook and I felt like was really riding on a train. We didn't even mind the trains that passed by. This is what makes this bed and breakfast so memorable. Everything was absolutely pleasant and perfect. We will be definitely returning to this place!

    More than exceeded our expectations!

    October 04, 2011

Wonderful respite from the every day busyness of life. Took us back to simpler times and a slower pace of life....just what everyone needs once in a while! Would highly recommend this B&B for anyone. You don't even have to be a train buff to enjoy these accommodations.

    Palace Car

    September 08, 2011

The Palace Car is a charming restored train car parked right along the train tracks, and is a realistic ride when the train passes! The oversized dual whirlpool in this car was very relaxing, and breakfast is scrumptious! The perfect get away, we have booked again & again! When we stayed it rained all weekend and we enjoyed the fire place and whirlpool. Breakfast upon request was delivered to the car in a picnic basket with orange juice and coffee, eggs, sausage, toast, fruit, and a wonderful berry souffle. Would recommend a fall or winter stay, for the drive is beautiful in the fall, and snow is the ultimate excuse to stay indoors and relax!
