On the bank of the Root River, in one of Minnesota's most ancient and picturesque valleys. Mrs. B's also sits right on the main street, which is Parkway Ave. Restored to include modern conveniences, while keeping a comfortable and eclectic Victorian decor. In the yard between the inn and the twisting river, the conversations of birds, the sound of flowing water, and a lovely garden offer a peaceful place to relax. Looking from Mrs. B's windows outside, is a scene that could have been painted by Thomas Cole or Grandma Moses. Our decks await your enjoyment and a full creative country breakfast is served each morning. Mrs. B's Gift Certificates are always available.

The bed was super comfortable, the room was warm even without using the space heater. The breakfasts were fabulous! The living room was comfortable. The evening snacks were great. We felt so pampered there. We stayed in Room 8. Both owners were very hospitable and took time to talk with us and provided information about the area and availabilities.

We really enjoyed our 2-night stay at Mrs. B's. The building is indeed historic and we really appreciated ambiance. The room was cozy with a lot of natural light. The personal attention by the owners of the inn was outstanding. On a chilly night, they were gracious enough to light the woodburning fireplace in the lobby, even though they hadn't been planning to do so that early in the season. The breakfasts were very healthy, tasty and gave us plenty of fuel for a long bike ride. The one area that could be improved is the coffee service, especially at breakfast. Plain old half and half, instead of those little nonrefridgerated creamers, is a must for me, and raw sugar would also be a nice touch. In conclusion, we would definitely stay at Mrs. B's again and would like to go when the weather is a little warmer so we could enjoy the very pretty patio with a river view.

We stayed at Mrs. B's for one night on our way to somewhere else because we wanted to check out the area for the future and had heard of Mrs. B's. It was everything we had hoped for and more. We enjoyed a quiet evening and wonderful breakfast interspersed with very welcoming and thoughtful service by Trish and Matthew. Heard some about their plans for future improvements and wish them well.

This would be an absolutely perfect place if our room had a better mattress. It was difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Private, quiet, great hospitality, great food, very clean, nice gardens in the back and location is perfect. The rooms could use more ventilation but it goes on my "return again" list.

Under new ownership, Mrs. B's is the perfect B & B. Located on the main street in Lanesboro, you can walk everywhere. The inn is charming and the new owners are embracing their roles with great enthusiasm. The breakfasts are fantastic ~~ we will be back!

Mrs B's was a wonderful get-away. The proprietor's Trish and Matthew were excellent hosts and provide an outstanding breakfast along with fresh baked cookies every afternoon! The location is perfect, on main street and the river runs through the back yard gardens.

We stayed two nights and had a wonderful stay at Mrs. B's. The bed and breakfast is right in the middle of the downtown section where most of the shops are at and right along by the river and trail. Our room was small, but we were only in the room to shower and sleep. Had a fantastic breakfast both mornings. If we had any extra needs, they were met quickly and graciously. There is a shed to store your bikes. The trails are gorgeous. We had fun tubing down the Root River. We would definitely stay there again!!!
