"Comfortable and "Homey""

"I stayed for two weeks just recently and this was a great place to stay while attending a conference at Iowa State. The whole house is decorated to make you feel right at home and it even smells like home- with cookies int he oven! The rooms are very comfortable - so much better than a standard hotel. The breakfast is really good - they will prepare as much or as little as you want. The proprietors and staff are so friendly, that you feel like you've known them for years. I just can't say enough about the Iowa House - I will be back if I am ever in Ames again!"
