A rustic white cedar log cabin located conveniently off of Hwy 55 at the head of Grant's Trail. The lodge is delightfully landscaped with trees, flowers and pond. The patio garden is perfect for any outside function. This is truly a one-of-a-kind facility

We come in town for the steelers game and it was really a great place to stay, close to the city and great breakfast setup

My wife and I stayed here on a recent visit for a friend's wedding reception. The rooms were thematically decorated and named accordingly. The weekend breakfast provided was excellent. When we needed service, it was efficient and friendly. As a runner, I greatly appreciated the ideal location next to Grant's trail.

I'm an avid runner, and ran Grant's Trail every day when we lived in St Louis, but we never had a reason to stay here. Now that we've moved, this is the perfect spot! 1/10 of a mile from the trail head, great breakfast, adorable, clean rooms with fireplaces, and super friendly staff. Yes, 55 is super close, but it's not intrusive. Even my small town hubby wasn't bothered by it. We'll definitely be back!

"Old Man River" or "The Muddy Mississippi" are two of the names our great river has been called. From paddle wheels and steamboats to Robert E. Lee and his men, this river has much to offer in the history of our region. Join us in the Mississippi Room and take a look into our nautical past. As you make yourself comfortable in this legendary room, you'll remember all the stories your grandfathers told you.
A touch of old, a touch of new, and you have Christmas all year round. As you fall asleep in front of a cozy fire, let the sugar plum fairies dance in your head. This room also accommodates the handicapped.
The early years of expedition into the new frontier left artifacts both from the American Indians as well as the colonists. From soldiers to farmers, come share a piece of history and relive some of those days. The down home comfort of this room will make your stay a little less rugged than that of our forefathers.
Trout have been caught in the streams at Rockbridge for many years past. Some of these have been mounted and decorate this room. Our Rockbridge Room will relax you just as a wonderful day of fishing in your favorite stream. As you slumber in your bed, you can dream about the ones that got away. (Rockbridge has been a very special place for the Orlando Family for more than 30 years.)
The most recent frontier is our great state of Alaska. Much like any frontier, it has taken much hard work and many sacrifices to claim it. Spend a cozy night by the warm fire with mementos of beautiful Alaska.
Some of us yearn to see the great continent of Africa; well, we are bringing some of that mysterious country to you. From animals to animal fabrics, this room will appease your appetite for the jungle. Come spend some time in our Safari Room and feel the call of the wild!
A room fit for a president and his first lady. This room is furnished with a king-size bed and sitting area with all the warmth and coziness that George and Martha shared. Overlooking Grant's Trail, this room will take you back many days in history. Complete with fireplace, jetted tub for two and full bathroom (tub and shower), it is perfect for a romantic stay at the Lodge.
This upscale bedroom boasts a king size bed, a built-in fireplace, beautiful balcony, and a tub for two. A bedroom perfectly fit for a First Lady, as Mary Todd Lincoln could have waited patiently here for her husband & President, Abe, to take leave of his Cabinet after meeting in the Conference Room and putting in a full days work. He could have come to find her relaxing, and have the warmth of the fireplace and a loving wife as they would try to forget the problems of State.
The beauty of the Abe Room is that it can also be used as a bedroom. The conference table breaks down into three side tables, and the wall bed pulls down to become a very comfortable queen size bed. Perfect for families traveling together.
