An authentic inn in this historic village setting where Daniel Boone and Lewis and Clark trekked. Explore for yourself this 1840s federal style inn along the wide Missouri River and KATY Trail State Park at the start of the Boone's Lick Trail. In the heart of the National Register Historic District with over 100 shops, 30 restaurants, museums, casinos and the Goldenrod Showboat at our door. The only lodging on Main Street of this old river settlement with its brick street, gas lamps and green spaces. V'Anne's delicate lemon biscuits, freshest fruits, and hot entrees are served amidst 19th century antiques, compatible reproductions, fragrant flower gardens and Paul's working duck decoy collection. A perfect escape for new inngoers, return guests and corporate seekers of a different style lodging. Seasonal duck hunting available. St. Louis airport 8 miles and 25 minutes to St. Louis' sights.

We have been to several B&B's in MO, but this one was clearly overpriced. The service was fine, and the food was fine, but the room was too small and far few ammenities for $200 a night.

Travelling home to Massachusetts I was delighted to find a vacancy at this historic inn. The location was ideal for siteseeing, and the room was comfortable and clean.Breakfast at the large dining table allowed interaction with other guests, and the buffet prepared by a friendly, and delightfully interesting cook was a culinary treat. This is a must B&B if you're on the Lewis and Clark Trail, and want to experience the flavor of St.Charles and the feel of Huck Fin plying the Missouri River. I enjoyed my stay immensley.
