My wife and I recently stayed here for our anniversary. The place was very nice and the hosts were friendly and inviting, the food for breakfast was local and outstanding. Would highly recommend this B&B.

A good b&B once you get inside. Unfortunately, though the front steps may be original, my wife fell on them, injuring herself (Also no railing.). Serious safety concerns here.

We stayed 3 nights and were treated like like royalty. Barbara, the owner, was very nice. The room was quite spacious and offered a lovely view of the Osage River. I can imagine this view will look quite grand in the fall when the trees are in their autumn foliage. The only reason I did not give the room 5 stars was due to the bathroom facilities, which were separated from the room only by a standing room divider, instead of walls. As I was with my husband, it wasn't a big deal, but I think that it would be much better had the owners put walls in for a bit more privacy. Breakfast was quite good, and included fresh fruit, a variety of breads, and a hot entree that was different each morning. We were asked what time we preferred to eat, and I thought it nice that we were allowed to choose what time our breakfast would be served. The only thing I would point out to others is the fact that there is no handrail on the concrete steps to the porch, which made it a bit difficult for me, since I was walking with a cane due to knee problems. This B&B is definitely not someplace you would want to stay if you were physically handicapped, as I had a difficult time. However, having said that, I did enjoy the stay and the location is nice, and once I get my knee back in good working order, I believe I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed two nights in Wilhelmshaven, July 12 and 13. The cottage was wonderful, very roomy and comfortable. The breakfasts were exceptional as was our host, Barbara. We will definitely stay here again!

This is a nice place to stay outside Jefferson City, quiet, excellent breakfast and beautiful view of the river from the private second floor porch. The room was very comfortable and had some little extra touches like reading lamps on both sides of the bed and fresh cookies! Barbara is exceptionally helpful with info on places to eat and where to go in the area.

This was a great B & B. The home, rooms and surroundings were very unique and interesting (home was built in late 1800s). Current owners restored and opened in the late 1990s. Breakfast was suburb with fresh fruit (berries and bananas), yogurt, muffins, egg/cheese souffle and German sausage (made at a grocery store a few miles away). But the best part was the service, Barbara the owner was fantastic from the moment we arrived to the moment when we left.
