Inn Details
Birk's Gasthaus is a comfortable old Victorian mansion, built in 1886. With some period furniture in the formal ladies parlour, and Claw foot tubs in most of the rooms (some with showers), 8 foot doors and transoms, the mansion is again being used to entertain guests. We have added a Game Room with a 50" Plasma TV, Poker Table, and soon will have a full size Pool Table. Or you can relax on our wraparound covered Verandah and enjoy our quiet location. Only three blocks from Stone Hill Winery and Vintage Resturant.

(Highway 19). Approximately 45 miles north of Cuba (I-44) on Highway 19. Approximately 40 miles on Highway 100 west of I-44. From intersection of 19 and 100 (Market St.) to Market and Sixth. Turn west, go to Jefferson, left one block to Seventh, left, Birk's is located at end of block.

We had a delightful time at Birks Gasthaus. Our host was very accomodating. The breakfasts were excellent! I will definitely book a room there again.

We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast and were a little leary, but all our concerns were unfounded as we found this a very enjoyable experience. The house was magnificent, the host was friendly and gave great suggestions for dinner restaurants, the room comfy, the food was great, and we enjoyed meeting the other guests. Would stay here again.

Staff was very welcoming. House had extra amenities that we did not exprect, such as pool table and large area for our group to gather. Breakfast was great the next morning. Overall, very pleasant stay!

We had a great stay at Birks. The rooms were awesome, the BB owners was friendly, and very informitive on Herman MO. Beds were great house was clean and breakfast was outstading. We will be back!
