Enjoy the sights and sounds of this famous Mississippi River town, as you venture outside to the wrap around veranda, which is adorned with tropicals, perennials and annuals from Spring-Autumn. From May through September, marvel at the aerobatics of the resident hummingbird population. Relax in one of our comfy rockers and let your mind drift back to a simpler time, when life seemed to move along at a much slower pace.

Traveling West on Interstate 72/US Rt 36 from Illinois, cross the Mark Twain Bridge and Mississippi River, exit I-72 immediately after crossing the bridge at the exit to Louisiana and Rt 79. Proceed to the stop light at the end of the ramp and turn left onto Mark Twain Avenue. Continue traveling East to Third Street and turn right/south onto Third. Proceed 2 short blocks to Hill Street(2nd block to the west/right). Continue on Hill 2 blocks to 5th Street and turn south/left and we are located in the middle of the block on the right/west side of the street. When traveling East on Rt 36, follow the signs to the Louisiana exit and take the Rt 79/Louisiana exit. At the end of the ramp, turn right at the stop light and continue on Mark Twain Avenue. Then follow the directions above. When driving north on Rt 79, which becomes Third Street, continue north into Hannibal, cross Broadway, Center and then turn left on Bird Street. Proceed 2 blocks west to Fifth Street and turn right. From Lambert Field or St Louis area, take I-70 West to Rt 61 North and follow to Hannibal. Upon reaching Hannibal, continue to Rt 36/I-72 and follow it East to the Louisiana exit/Rt 79. At the end of the ramp turn right onto Mark Twain Avenue heading east and follow to Third Street. Turn south/right onto 3rd Street and proceed 2 blocks to Hill Street. Turn right onto Hill and follow it 2 blocks to 5th Street. Turn left onto 5th and we are located in the middle of the block on the right side of the street.

Our Captain's Quarters Suite, or "Eagle's Nest" as it is affectionately known, is located on the third floor. The main room features a Queen sized Victorian style High-backed Oak bed and antique oak furnishings. Twain's Study, the adjoning "Room with a View", houses a pair of twin mahogany beds and reading/sitting area. This suite accommodates a maximum of 5 guests including a roll-a-way bed. A large private bath features a period Clawfoot tub with English Telephone Spray. Our 2nd floor Riverview Suite accommodates a maximum of 5 guests including a roll-a-way bed. Private bath with period Clawfoot tub w/shower splits the two rooms. Both rooms have hall access. (Riverview & Rose and Wilson's Chambers split by shared bath.) Suites range from $139-$269. Rates are based upon number of occupants. We have a total of 6 guests rooms and can accommodate 13 guests (includes use of one rollaway bed $35+tx).

A simply divine gourmet french toast with a sweet orange flavor. This delectable fare is served with fancy Bacon Rosettes or maple sausage, and an extraordinary side dish. Your plate is garnished with "Fresh only" fruit of the season and orange zest. If not for the wonderful aroma, it's almost too pretty to eat.

- Deposit amount required (Guarantee reservations w/Mastercard or Visa. A $25+tx per room, non-refundable deposit is charged at time each reservation is made.)

8 days notice (14 days during special event/holiday periods, 30 days for groups) Notification must be given by noon Central time, 8 days (14 or 30 days) prior to arrival.
Less than 8 days (14 or 30 days), No refund unless cancelled space is fully rebooked.
