Welcome to the Inn on Crescent Lake, located in historic Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Only 30 miles from downtown Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City International Airport, the Inn is perfectly situated for a relaxing weekend getaway and provides an excellent lodging alternative to business travelers. The stately three-story 1915 Georgian Colonial mansion sits on 22 acres and is surrounded by two crescent-shaped ponds, historically known as Crescent Lake. The Inn was meticulously renovated in 1997. While the architectural integrity of the Inn was preserved, all of the rooms were completely modernized. Unwind in the extraordinary comfort of the solarium or the beautifully appointed living room. Each of the Inn's ten luxurious sleeping rooms and suites contain a collection of antiques and refined furnishings. Each room is decorated with its own charm and personality and features a large private bath, individual temperature control, cable television and elegant toiletries. Indulge yourself in a six-foot whirlpool tub, a standard whirlpool tub or an authentic, old-fashioned claw-footed tub. Outside at the Inn you will find a swimming pool, seven person hot tub, paddle boats, a bass boat and walking paths. In addition to being one of the area's most romantic getaway locations, the Inn offers an incredible setting for private parties, weddings, corporate retreats and other special events.

My hubby and I stayed in the cottage for a small honeymoon. It was wonderful! The grounds are beautiful, relaxing and quiet. Which is perfect for anniversaries, honeymoons, rekindling with your partner or just to get away for a few days. The breakfast was delicious. There is a bunch of stuff you can do around this area like vineyards, bar and restaurants. We're already planning to go back for our anniversary next year. I know it's a little bit more money than hotels, but it was total worth it!!

A very stately manor away from the city in a small town rich in history. The grounds were well tended. All amenities, pool, hot tub, boats were available for use. Very classy breakfast.

The Inn on Crescent Lake is a wonderful bed and breakfast. As my husband says, "They do it right here!". Since it is a short drive from KC it is a great place to go to relax over the weekend. They have great activities to do if you are feeling up to it. Otherwise you can just relax and enjoy the great service and breakfast. We will definitely be coming back again and again.

We stayed in the Casbah room which included a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. When turning on the water and jets in the tub tons of brown goo came rushing out. We were quite disgusted and of course was not going to use the jacuzzi after that. This made us qurstion the entire cleanliness of the place as a whole. When we mentioned it to the owner they did nothing but offer us a bottle of wine. Our room cost almost $200 for one nights stay and we couldn't even use the main jacuzzi because of the filthiness of it which was the main resin we had rented that room to begin with, and she only offered us a bottle of wine to "make up for our trouble". This alone made me never want to go back to such a place we had pictures to show her what had happened and she did nothing but offer a bottle of wine. Our night was ruined after that incident and now our romantic getaway turned into a disgusting reminder of how dirty and u accommodating this place was!
