Welcome to the Inn on Crescent Lake, located in historic Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Only 30 miles from downtown Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas City International Airport, the Inn is perfectly situated for a relaxing weekend getaway and provides an excellent lodging alternative to business travelers. The stately three-story 1915 Georgian Colonial mansion sits on 22 acres and is surrounded by two crescent-shaped ponds, historically known as Crescent Lake. The Inn was meticulously renovated in 1997. While the architectural integrity of the Inn was preserved, all of the rooms were completely modernized. Unwind in the extraordinary comfort of the solarium or the beautifully appointed living room. Each of the Inn's ten luxurious sleeping rooms and suites contain a collection of antiques and refined furnishings. Each room is decorated with its own charm and personality and features a large private bath, individual temperature control, cable television and elegant toiletries. Indulge yourself in a six-foot whirlpool tub, a standard whirlpool tub or an authentic, old-fashioned claw-footed tub. Outside at the Inn you will find a swimming pool, seven person hot tub, paddle boats, a bass boat and walking paths. In addition to being one of the area's most romantic getaway locations, the Inn offers an incredible setting for private parties, weddings, corporate retreats and other special events.

We had an awesome time at the Inn. It is a beautiful facility with a great location. They offer a pool, hot tub, electric fire pit, and hiking trail along with really beautiful rooms. Breakfast was so good. Beverly and Craig are wonderful hosts.

Our stay at the Inn was very pleasant and relaxing. We stayed in the main house, which is attractive both in and out. Our room was clean and the decor lovely. The grounds are spacious, and there is a very nice swimming pool, much larger than one might expect for a place of this capacity. The Inn is about 40 minutes from midtown Kansas City and a short drive (a couple of miles perhaps) from downtown Excelscior Springs. Beverly the Innkeeper suggested a very nice resuarant for dinner and generally is very welcoming and engaging.

My fiancé and I stayed in the Cottage. We got our own parking space and entrance. Craig greeted us and made sure to give us a tour and explained the amenities as well. The Cottage was very spacious and had everything you could want for a romantic getaway. The sheets were very soft as well as the bed. Our stay at the Cottage also included breakfast delivered to us. It came to us on a tray and the dishes covered. We felt so spoiled! The stuffed French toast was outstanding. I would highly recommend this inn for a wonderful time away from the buzz of the city! -Ashley Boley-

This was our third stay at the Inn on Crescent Lake and we enjoyed ourselves very much. (2nd time in the BallRoom) Beverly and Craig and their staff do a great job to make sure everything you could ever want are at hand. The amenities are all in excellent order. The Inn on Crescent Lake is a BnB unlike any other and receive our highest recommendation to any who are looking to relax in an amazing environment. We'll definitely be back next year.

We booked the Ballroom for our honeymoon and the room was so romantic. Beverly and Craig were great hostess - they gave us privacy but also made sure we were taken care of! The property was beautiful and very relaxing. Magical getaway is the way I would describe it!

This is a beautiful B&B in close proximity to Kansas City, making it a great weekend get-away! my husband and I stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. The Inn is perfectly maintained and the owners are friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is outstanding and the complimentary sodas and fresh baked cookies are a nice touch. There is plenty to do on the property itself, whether it is relaxing by the pool, walking around the property or using the paddle and fishing boats on the lake. The main area of town is within a 5 minute drive and has a lot of cute antique shops and some very good restaurants. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Upon arrival in the Stripe Room, we celebrated with chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne as part of the Romance Package. Our room overlooked the front lawn. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub all three days. Saturday morning, Craig and Beverly brought a full breakfast to our room, also part of the Romance Package. The food was delicious. We went into Excelsior Springs for the Waterfest one day, and spent another afternoon at the Watkins Woolen Mill State Historic Site. Four hours from St. Louis, The Inn on Crescent Lake made for a perfect weekend getaway. All staff was friendly and attentive. The owners have a clear vision of what they expect The Inn to be and pay close attention to details in order to achieve that vision.

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Inn with someone, and we were both overwhelmingly happy with our time there. We stayed in the Tuscany room, which is the pool house. The room is beautiful with private access to the pool and hot tub and a private parking space. The room itself comes with a huge kingsize bed, a whirlpool tub made for two, and a shower that is built for two as well. It even comes with a refrigerator, for anything you might want to bring. Or any leftovers from dining in town. (88 at the Elms has gotten much better, I can recommend it now.) The pool is great (didn't try the hot tub). We enjoyed an early morning paddleboat ride on the lake- which is...kinda the least impressive part of the place. It's okay for the view, but it's not fed with any active streams, so it is kinda stagnant. But believe me, it's not a deal breaker at all. The romantic promenade (open walking path) is nice and simple. Easy enough, and not requiring any real hiking. The bugs were kinda bad, but it's Missouri in the summer by a water source. It happens. Though a little grounds treatment would be great, you can keep them at bay with a little spray of OFF. The breakfast is phenomenal. They do a wonderful job preparing a beautiful meal. It's nothing fancy and innovative. But it is delicious and something a little more extravagant than you would probably have normally. Overall- I know I mentioned a couple of places to work on, but those should absolutely not keep you from staying here. It is worth every penny, and I will be returning. The truth is, the room is the real appeal here. The Tuscany is especially nice if you don't want to worry about sound or music. You aren't attached to any other room, so it's nice to be able to crank it up a bit. Beverly and Craaig do a wonderful job making you feel welcome, and whether you stay in the gorgeous historic mansion, or in the two outer houses- you won't be disappointed. Thanks guys!

We arrived on a Friday for a one night stay with Early Check-in. We were greeted by a very kind and polite inn keeper. We then received a tour of the facility and were able to look at the other rooms which were not occupied. After the tour we hiked the trails, then relaxed in the wonderful pool. We stayed in the garden room, very nice with updated features as well as a hot tub. the bed was very comfortable, and probably the nicest linens I'll ever sleep on. The whole facility was very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast the following morning was good, homemade, and filling. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, and will most likely stay there again. p
