Ana and I had an amazing stay for our baby moon. The room was beautiful and so relaxing. Brian and Linda were so welcoming and lovely to talk with about Cape and family. We enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness of the house. We definitely will be back in the future!

We stayed only one night in the Bellevue Bed & Breakfast in Cape Girardeau, MO, but it was an excellent choice. The welcome was complete with an optional history of the house (which we said yes to and were so happy to learn a bit more than was on the website and gave us a chance to ask a few questions, too). The decorating is exquisite, but cheerful. The plates on the wall are fantastic. I fell in love with the beautiful Nature books in the living room. We were there in the winter time, but the place was cozy and just right in temperature - not overly heated and not at all drafty like some older homes. So, OK, everything was great, but the 3-course breakfast really was amazing: it began with a light, but large muffin with a dollop of made from scratch blueberry sauce... oh, my it was mmmmmmm-good! Linda is an excellent cook. Each course was amazing and clearly took a lot of time and care to compose. I heartily recommend this place for a wonderful and beautiful stay. Claire

I highly recommend this quaint bed & breakfast tucked just a couple of streets over from downtown. The caretakers were lovely, the room comfortable & relaxing, and the breakfast was equal to a five-star restaurant.

Enjoyed this stay so much! The service and friendliness of the owners was outstanding. Loved the morning coffee on the porch. The breakfast was not only the best tasting, the presentation was beautiful! Did not want to leave!

You can't stay anywhere else but here if you are visiting Cape Girardeau. It is the most beautifully decorated yet warmly comforting bed and breakfast I've ever stayed in, from the furniture, accent pieces and chandeliers to the paint colors, music and even place settings. It all makes me feel luxuriously giddy. The Cove room couldn't have been more perfect - the bed you melt in, soaking in a clawfoot tub, the serene & calming blue hues - I am considering not returning home to NYC and just moving in. And the food. You are going to think you've died and gone to heaven. Linda cooks a 5-star 3-course meal that will leave you full well into the afternoon, and has sweet treats waiting in your room for you in the evening. The best for last, Brian and Linda, your amazingly thoughtful, kind, warm and generous hosts. They are truly a delight to spend time with. You will love every second being at the Bellevue Bed & Breakfast!

All good things at this B&B! Make sure you are hungry for breakfast, as it is a real treat! Rooms are clean and cozy. Innkeepers are cordial and strive to make your stay a pleasant and relaxing one. Yay for off street parking. Yay for historic home put to good use. Within walking distance to downtown and university campus. Just go here to experience a great get away.

What a lovely stay in a lovely property! My husband and I stayed at the Bellevue for our first year anniversary weekend. Linda and Brian were fantastic hosts. The house is immaculate. And if you love historic homes, you will truly enjoy this one! Brian and Linda have put a lot of time and effort into the restoration of this beautiful Victorian home. Linda's decorating skills and small nuances, truly make you feel as if you've stepped back in time, but with a modern flair. And the food! By far, this was the best three-course breakfast I have had in any B&B I have stayed in. You will definitely enjoy your stay. As far as the privacy is concerned, you will have plenty of it. Brian and Linda, although great host, do not smother you. They are around in the morning to serve you breakfast, and available to you by phone if you should need them. But leave you to your privacy to enjoy your getaway. What a great time!

A repeat plan on our list of great rest and relaxation destinations. The breakfast experience alone is worth return trips.

The Bellevue B&B is a real gem. It's a beautifully restored house that was built in the 1890s. It's a block away from the Cape Girardeau historic district which offers a lot of nice restaurants and access to the Mississippi Riverfront Park. Also very close to the main campus and river campus of SE Missouri State U. Very clean, very quiet. The breakfast was a little rich for our tastes, but expertly prepared and beautifully served. Brian and LInda are gracious and informative hosts. Only wish the mattress on the bed was firmer, but again, that's a personal preference. Would definitely stay again.
