Both have enjoyed living and working in various locations in the world. Some of these locations are reflected in the decor of Anchor Inn on the Lake. The best part of innkeeping for them is meeting new guests and taking good care of them.

    Picture yourself in the Mediterranean Lighthouse Room, our most popular honeymoon and anniversary accommodation. This suite features a king "heavenly bed", love seat, private bath,and private entrance. Follow the stairs to your own private upstairs enjoyment room with air massage tub, lounge chair, and lake side balcony.Welcome to the “Watch Room,” the private upper room of the Mediterranean Lighthouse Suite. Here the two of you can retreat to the highest room in the Inn with its 360 degree view. Close the shades, turn on the romantic electric fireplace, light the candles, set the underwater light colors to the right mood, and relax in the two person air massage tub. Take a break from the tub and sit together on your private lakeside balcony. Ready for more bubbles? Just slip back into the tub for more massage.
    Enjoy a top of the world view from the private upper level balcony of the Mediterranean Lighthouse room.The Virginia Waterside room's bath is decorated in reds and lace. Turn the lights down low and enjoy the two person whirlpool tub.
    From the Maryland Mountain Room’s king size “heavenly bed” and the 2 person air-massage tub to the stone fireplace you’ll find yourselves in the perfect romantic getaway. Turn the lights down low, light the candles and the electric fireplace, and set just the right mood. (Not shown in this photo are the Maryland Mountain Room’s private ¾ bath, private entrance, large closet, and dresser with TV/DVD.) The carved wooden four-poster bed might make you look around for a footman in a powdered wig, and the rich burgundy and white linens will make you feel like pampered gentlemen and ladies.     It's just a short walk down to the lake past the abundant Spring flowers.
