We had stayed at Rivercene several years ago and found it to be once again a wonderful stay. The current owners were so knowledgeable about the area and the home. Beautifully redone. Highly recommend this as a quiet stop over.

We have stayed at Rivercene multiple times and every visit is wonderful. The mansion itself is amazing and the time and effort that Don and Joe have put into it really shows. They are wonderful hosts that truly enjoy interacting with every visitor. The breakfast is wonderful...I just can't say enough about this wonderful Bed and Breakfast... Jason and Steffany Cullom

I can't say enough about Rivercene. It's beautiful inside and out (with the caveat that it's still a work in progress, as to some of the restoration, but you only notice some of that on the outside). Donn and Joe own it, but Joe is the quiet, behind-the-scenes chef, while Donn is the outgoing, somewhat flamboyant host. The entrance hall, parlor, and dining room are beautiful...just amazing. Our room was huge and beautiful and comfortable. Donn knows the entire history of the mansion and the family who built it, and loves to regale you with the tales of their lives and deaths...fascinating stuff! Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast DELICIOUS. Joe is an amazing chef! They can also direct you to the good restaurants in the area. Do NOT pass up this place!

We were married on New Year's Day at Rivercene, and the event couldn't have been more perfect. We reserved the entire B and B. Joe offered tips and suggestions for the location of the ceremony and prepared a sumptuous breakfast afterwards. We couldn't be happier about our experience.

Although a little off the highway and off by itself, this is a great B & B. It is worth the stay at Christmas just to see the decorated house. Joe fixed one of the best breakfasts I have had at a B & B. We left with zip lock bags with our cinnamon rolls. Historic Rocheport with its nice restaurants is just a few miles down the road. We may return in the summer to ride the KATY trail which runs across the highway from the Inn.

Wonderfully preserved and furnished 150 year old mansion--decorated beautifully for the season. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and engaging hosts--Donn and Joe. The rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! Combined with "a Christmas Carol" at the Lyceum in Arrow Rock it made for a memorable trip. Definitely will return. Dan and Rita

Stayed at several B&Bs along the trail from Clinton to Machens. This was the best.

We stayed two nights in Cora's room. Donn and Joe were very accommodating. The breakfast was very good! We had coffee, juice, fresh fruit, homemade pecan rolls and orange rolls along with individual egg and sausage quiche. We had dinner at the grederick hotel, went antquing in Boonville and rode our bikes on the Katy Trail. This is a really neat looking mansion, and will be a showplace when they are finished. The dining room furniture is beautiful! We had anice stay, and enjoyed talking with Donn.
