Barteau House Bed & Breakfast

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the very well maintained beautiful old house. The hosts were great and the food was outstanding. Worthy of a return visit!

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Barteau. The only thing we might suggest is an updated mattress in the room we had, but that was not at all a deal breaker. We'd go back!

My sisters and niece recently stayed at THe Barteau House. Our grandmother was a previous owner of this house and we had a lovely time reliving our childhood in the house. Although much renovation has been done to the house it is still very much the house we grew up in and add to that a wonderful host, a lovely breakfast, and wonderful conversation at breakfast. It was an absolutely wonderful experience.

My sister, daughter and myself have been staing at the Barteau House at least once a year for five years. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it has truly become a "home away from home". The breakfasts outshine anything I have ever been served at other B&Bs. I highly recommend that if you are anywhere near Zumbrota that you make this stay a MUST!

The owners go above and beyond in order to meet the needs of their guests. I have been a guest there on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. Outside of the graciousness of the owners, the next best thing is their breakfasts. Delicious!

We stayed here for a weekend away from a busy life and a kids. The Barteau House is a beautiful home for a wonderful price. The room was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was amazing the hosts were very attentive and friendly.

I was looking for a quiet place to unwind for the weekend - this was the perfect place. Quiet, restful and relaxing, with a great homey feel. I felt like I was welcomed into the family for the evening, and the next morning we were treated like royalty with a beautiful breakfast. We're already trying to figure out when we can come back.

Quiet, affordable and gracious hosts. We needed a place to park our motorcycles because of thunderstorms and without any hesitation accomodated our request by opening the garage for us. Food was heavenly! room was comfortable and cozy! My grandmother owned this house and it was nice that Kim and Scott let me indulge in my walk down memory lane. I would highly recommend the Barteau House!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Bareau House! We stayed in the suite and it was relaxing and quaint. The house had so much character and restored beautifully. The innkeepers paid the perfect amount of attention to us. Available when we needed something, yet invisible to allow for freedom and comfort throughout the house. The breakfast was outstanding! This will be a very fond memory we take with us into the future. The web site does not do justice to the actual experience.

My wife and I stayed two nights on a short anniversary trip. It was very clean and an interesting, big old house. The breakfasts were out of this world. We had fun checking out Zumbrota as well

Looking for a B&B close to Rochester, MN, we picked the Barteau House from looking on the internet. We enjoyed a relaxed evening and morning before going to Rochester to see my parents' gravesite. The restored home is beautiful and practical. A mutual interest in travel was shared with our hostess over breakfast.

Wonderful place! The people, property, and food were all outstanding.

Our room had coins hidden here and there. It was fun finding them without being intrusive on our innkeepers. The journal had the story behind the placed coins and the last tally found. Our party found $1.46 in pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters. Our innkeepers were really accommodating and excellent cooks. They even shared their recipes which makes it even better.

Kim & Scott were lovely hosts, the house is beautiful, the food was great, the weather? - oh well!

Kim and Scott, We had a wonderful time at your B & B. The only problem was that we did not have enough time to spend there. This will the first of many visits to come. Great get away. Beautiful and peaceful house and grounds. Great location less than 30 minutes from Rochester & Mayo Clinic. Hosts were very friendly and hospitable and gave great information on local places to eat and things to do. Breakfast was excellent -- great tasting and generous servings. Would highly recommend to anyone!

My wife & I recently stayed at the Barteau House for are 1st aniversary. This was the first time we had been at a B&B. Kim & Scott were great. This was a nice,relaxing time. We stayed in the suit,with whirlpool tub. This was fun & relaxing. The breakfast was filling & enjoyable. We would definitly stay there again. I recomend this B&B for anyone looking for comfort & a home feeling. Thanks for the great memory.

We were looking for an inn just far enough away to be secluded, yet close enough to make it an easy drive from the cities and we found it. Kim and Scott were wonderful hosts and the house is beautiful. If you can, splurge for the suite, the tub is relaxing and great for two people. The breakfast was delicious...thats really the only word for it. This is the perfect quiet place to get away for the weekend.
