The Embracing Pines offers a great location as part of your lake, riding, or hiking adventures, the Embracing Pines B&B is the ticket. We were looking for a location near the trail, midway along the PBT and Heartland trail. This location was ideal. It also allowed for day trips to the Mississippi headwaters and Itasca park area. Dennis and Charlyne were great hosts and a wealth of information for local points of interest and history. Waking to the smell of fresh ground coffee and Charlyne's knack for baking was a real treat. The morning meals were enjoyed on the pine-covered decks along with hummingbirds. We were truly pampered by the Embracing Pines B&B. Greeted with warm cookies or banana bread in the afternoons and an offering of fresh fruit with tea and coffee at our whim.

Great accommodation – great location – excellent food – great hosts! We found Embracing Pines B&B nestled amongst great white pines with the Paul Bunyan Bike Trail just a few meters from the front door and the Kabekona River out the back door where you found canoes and a paddleboat at your disposal. We were in the area to cycle and this B&B was perfect. They had all of our cycling needs covered – indoor bike storage and even a shuttle service if required. We stayed in the Kabekona Suite which was as advertised and perfect for us. Charlyne and Dennis are the hosts and they did everything that they could to make our stay memorable. The morning starts with an event that Charlyne calls breakfast – the food was incredible. We stayed three nights and each day the breakfast was different and fabulous. We sat on the deck watching the humming birds feed while we ate – what a great way to start the day. Charlyne and Dennis guided us with recommendations for dinner as well, and each was unique and special. We would never have found these without their guidance. Not often does a B&B exceed their claims, however, this is the case for Embracing Pines B&B. We plan to go back and if you are planning to be in the area, you need to add it to your itinerary.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights recently to do some biking. The location is perfect for bikers, just across the street from the wonderful trail system and about 6-7 miles outside of Walker. And our hosts at the B&B were very attentive... the place was perfectly clean when we arrived, they greeted us with homemade banana bread, built a campfire for us at night, and the breakfasts were truly one of a kind. We would love to stay there again the next time we're in the area.

We spent 2 nights in this B&B and we had a great time.....Charlyne and Dennis are friendly, welcoming and happy to help you with driving directions, dinning recommendations or what to do around town....The home is cozy, clean and well furnished with alpine decor and located in a quiet neighborhood at walking distance to the bike trail....Be prepared for a large breakfast with plenty of fresh fruits, waffles, rhubarb french toast, coffee and juice served by the deck looking at the beautiful pine trees, flowers, plenty of birds and a river view....And after a long bike ride we also enjoyed nice chats with Charlyne and Dennis about family, travel, their house renovation, grandkids and everything that makes families happy....We highly recommend staying with them and look forward to coming back to their B&B....

We have stayed in Embracing Pines B&B back in Summer 2012. The B&B is in a great location and Dennis and Charlyne are great people. Next time I'm visiting MN, I'm planning to visit again. Thank you for your hospitality and the great breakfast!

I enjoyed my 3 night stay with Dennis and Charlyne as they welcomed me to their home. I had a pleasant, quiet room, and the views of the hummingbirds and other birds, as well as the dock access and trail access couldn't be beat. I hope to be back to hit the missing miles of Paul Bunyan and Heartland Trails.

Dennis and Charlene are very knowledgeable about the trail system. And when he tells you about the burgers at the Laport grocery, believe it! We will use Embracing Pines again It is perfectly located, the breakfast is gourmet, and Dennis has a really nice van to move you around.

We had a wonderful time at Embracing Pines. Charlyne and Dennis were gracious and welcoming, the room and inn were charming, and the breakfasts just fantastic. We did some hiking, enjoyed a paddelboat ride, and also spent a day at Itasca which is just a short trip away. Would also recommend dinner at the Boulders where the food is excellent.
