JR's suite was the master bedroom suite of JR Sweazy, builder of the house and founder of Red Wing Shoes. This suite is an oversized room with a two person whirlpool in the bathroom which also features a shower and tub. Room also has a fireplace, tv, vcr and two overstuffed chairs that make conversation and a glass a wine a nice way to connect. A king-sized bed completes the room with a feather bed and high thread count linens. Breakfast can be served in the room with a table that overlooks the front street.
Meg's Suite is comfortable suite that affords guests the benefit of two separate rooms, ideal for an early riser or light sleeper. Leta's room is on the third floor and features a view of the backyard gardens and the bluffs of Red Wing. The newly remodeled bathroom now features a two-person whirlpool. This quaint but romantic room has a queen size bed, featherbed and high thread count linens. And because it doesn't have a tv, guests choose Leta's because it is the ideal way to spend quality time together to get connected or reconnected in a room that many people describe as "like a treehouse." A table and chairs allows breakfast to be served in your room if you choose.

Awesome garden area/fire-pit plus off-street parking. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious, private bathrooms plus jacuzzi . Down side; some misunderstanding about a 'common' area for chilling beverages / getting ice or ice bucket / things available for guests after hours.

This was our first trip to Red Wing and our first stay at the Golden Lantern. Sioux and the rest of the staff made us feel right at home. She was very helpful in recomending places to see and eat. The house is beautiful and inviting, with a formal but casual feel. The breakfast was wonderful and a great start to the day. They do have three dogs that are the "Mascots" of the inn....you woud'nt even know they were there if they didn't love people so much:) The inn also has on site parking which is a plus!! We enjoyed our stay and recomend this B&B to anyone looking to relax in Red Wing!!

Everything was elegant, clean, & superb food and gardens. However, a 13" TV just doesn't cut it, this day & age.

Great location, a bit overpriced for the area, but much cheaper than many alternatives. Large rooms, ample breakfast, could be a bit tastier. Helpful innkeepers.
