| Innkeeper Response |
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. It is always appreciated when guests help allow us to meet their needs. Such heartfelt words inspire ideas! On my housekeeping list here I refer to 'the guest eye': innkeepers 'sleep around' in their rooms and can often anticipate what someone could want in the middle of the night(light bulbs working, water glasses at the ready ect). Many innkeepers may have gotten in to the industry because they are avid bnb-ers themselves, so although I may leave 'the list' for staff when I enlist help, they may not fully understand the guest eye, never being one! Wow, I will now have a 'Slumber Party' introducing the cleaning gang to a bed and breakfast stay...way better than a staff meeting with gentle reminders. As for me too, what did I find today? An EMPTY kleenex box!? grins...unless of course your the guest. Journals sometimes wander around, people write on the porch, and I find them on the bookshelves too. Glad to know people still enjoy them, Innkeepers sure do! With more review formats we see less entries, but keep writing, those comments are blessings to us. I am sorry breakfast was disappointing, I've been known to try new things.(The new German potato salad is getting rave reviews, in fact I think I will download it here, it's got sour cream added, which no one I know has heard of but takes out the vinager bite making it a bit softer for breakfast) Hope it wasn't the Hopple Popple which was selected for the MN 150th cookbook. Nope, doesn't look like I did it that weekend, but I readily meet dietary concerns, always hoping they don't fall off the elaboratly yummy chart!
Again, thanks for the heads up on helpful hints, more manna for 'The Guest Best Thing', The Bohemian's freshly launched newletter, you can sign up on the website.
