The Betsy-Tacy features a king-sized bed and private full bath just outside the room. Did you know the Butler House is right in the midst of the Betsy Tacy Historical Neighborhood? We are located 4 blocks from the Betsey and Tacy Houses.
The Blarney Suite features a full-sized pine bed and private full bath with shower only just across the hall.
The Currier Suite (named after the builder of the house) features a queen-sized carved pine canopy bed with a sitting area and private bath.
The Clements Suite features a queen-sized oak carved Victorian bed, double whirlpool, sitting area and private bath.
The Currier Suite: Enjoy the luxury of the sweetheart-shaped jacuzzi for two while admiring the hand-painted murals depicting the early times of Mankato.
In the dining room where breakfast is served most mornings you will find features such as fumed oak woodwork, velvet drapes, cabinets with leaded glass doors, and the hand-painted murals on the walls known as fresco art.

We enjoyed our stay once again at the Butler House. Lovely rooms, great host, scrumptious food. The town of Mankato has a variety of dining options. We'll go again. One minor complaint is that we had to wait outside for about 5 minutes for somebody to come to the door. Kind of inconvenient on a nippy November day. We had this one other time on a visit...that time for about 20 minutes. Both times we arrived between the allotted hours. Still, we will go back.

Wonderful host. Room was very clean and very quiet. Could not hear other guests and this was great. Charming room. Only drawback was that we had a storm that night and for some reason the oven did not work the next morning. Wonderful food that was served, but regrettably we missed out on the full experience due to the oven. Definitely will stay here again if we are back in the Mankato area.

Lovely old house with cluttered decor, old television and mattress--similar to other B&B's. On the plus side, breakfast was tasty and other guests were fun to converse with--again, similar to general B&B experience. Mattress would be a deal-killer for another stay.

My Husband and I enjoyed the Butler House very much. We were greeted and felt like we belonged their. Dave was a great cook and we both were impressed by his breakfast and the service he gave us. We would stay their again, it was a really nice place to be

My husband and I stayed just one night for a quick get-away. The room was quiet and well furnished with everything fully operational. We stayed in the early spring and the room was a bit chilly, especially in the evening and night. I'd recommend bringing a sweatshirt or heavier clothing. The breakfast was delicious and overall our stay was very relaxing.

We were met by the host, shown the house and to our room. Lovely setting for our visit to Mankato ('Deep Valley' of the Betsy-Tacy books). We were able to walk to the Betsy and Tacy houses and walk to all the neighborhood homes of her friends. Very good breakfasts and generous host. I would go back.

We had a wonderful stay at the Bulter House. The rooms and service were outstanding. Dave and Aimee provided a very welcoming admostphere. Highly recommend a stay there.
