On the bank of the Root River, in one of Minnesota's most ancient and picturesque valleys. Restored to include modern conveniences, while keeping a comfortable and eclectic Victorian decor. In the yard between the inn and the twisting river, the conversations of birds, the sound of flowing water, and a lovely garden offer a peaceful place to relax. Looking from Mrs. B's windows outside, is a scene that could have been painted by Thomas Cole or Grandma Moses. Our decks await your enjoyment and a full creative country breakfast is served each morning. Mrs. B's Gift Certificates are always available.

Our stay at Mrs. B's Historic Inn was wonderful. It is a quaint building with charming rooms, a great getaway from from the busy-ness of everyday life. We'll be back!

The inn is a cheerful and pleasant property. The room met my expectations and had a very nice feeling to it. It was very clean as well. Right on the bike path which is what we wanted. I would definitely stay there again.

Terry and Ginger were great hosts. Downtown location was perfect. I would stay at Mrs B's again. We walked to the theatre and restaurants and bike rental shop, all about a block ot two away. We loved the experience. Great breakfasts! Only caution is that if you are a light sleeper, request a room in back and not facing the street when the bars close. Still the street was very quiet otherwise. Highly recommended. Loved the Buddhist culture that Ginger uses to decorate the interior common environment..

We enjoyed outstanding service and a beautiful, quiet and romantic room. We have stayed at other B&B's in Lanesboro, but we will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Second time at Mrs. B's. Everything was great, except the breakfasts were disappointing. Sweet potato quiche was hardly edible, no toast or biscuit, (went next door for breakfast afterwards). French toast on 2nd day was ok, but how about some real maple syrup and meat?

Savory Crustless Quiche
'Surimi' crab or honey roasted ham and some of the finest white cheddar cheese we have found, blended with eggs and light cream, (and a few 'secret' ingredients) to create this light and fluffy, melt in your mouth quiche. Served with a fresh tomato salsa (We use heirloom tomatoes when available), or tapenade of portabella mushrooms in sherry sauce, and/or fresh Spring asparagus.
