Mrs. B's Historic Lanesboro Inn

Cozy and quiet, just what we needed! The hosts are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast filled us up, was delicious and got us a ready for a day of biking.

We stayed at Mrs. B's 25 years ago and were never able to come back due to work and family. When we had a few days we decided to revisit the town of Lansboro. There are other places to stay but we decided to at Mrs. B's again. We learned that the bed and breakfast had gone through hard times over the years. The current owners have brought it back even better than when we stayed there 25 years ago! Th town of Lansboro has so much more to offer as well. We rod our bikes on the Root River trail, went to a play at the Commonweal Theater and ate lunch and dinner at the local restaurants (Mrs. B's serves a wonderful breakfast). Great shops too! We don't plan to wait another 25 years to return to Mrs. B's!

We've been to Mrs. B's three times over the past four or five years and have enjoyed it every time. The proprietors are great. Ginger's breakfasts start the day off wonderfully. Terry is fun to talk with and we've enjoyed checking out his restoration projects. We recommend Mrs. B's to anyone interested in above-average accommodations in Lanesboro.

What a delightful inn! The rooms were lovely and so clean. The food was yummy. Terry and Meredith were friendly and helpful with information about Lanesboro. I would absolutely send friends to this Inn!

If you want to stay at a quiet B&B located right on the trails in Lanesboro, this is the place. The breakfast is FANTASTIC and only fresh ingredients are used. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. Great memories.

This was our second visit to Mrs. B's. Brought friends with us this time and the four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfectly located in downtown Lanesboro, the home is immaculately maintained. Hosts are delightful and the food is out of this world. We will be back!

We met good friends for the weekend. The guys rode the Root River Trail and the gals drank tea, shopped and caught up. We had great meals and saw a terrific show at the Commonweal Theater. It was our first time in Lanesboro and Terry and Ginger at Mrs B's were the perfect hosts!

I stayed here with my husband. The owners are very friendly and the inn is nicely decorated. It was very quiet when I stayed there. The breakfast was delicious. The rooms are prettier than the pictures posted online. It was a great place to stay during a weekend of cycling.

Historic Mrs. B's has a beautiful interior and updated rooms with their own private bath. Owners were very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Wish we could have spent more time there, preferred to bike ride in the morning and come back to shower, but check-out time was firm at 11am.

This was our first stay at a B&B and thanks to the wonderful Inn Keepers it won't be out last.

We spent two midweek nights at Mrs. B's and the Innkeepers are very good at making you feel comfortable. Breakfasts were super delicious and the Inn is beautiful. We loved the location, right in the heart of downtown and on the trail. We'll definitely consider returning on our next trip to Lanesboro.

We had a great experience at Mrs B's, the rooms were nice, the breakfast was delicious, and the company was like family :) The location of Mrs B's is perfect for Lanesboro, you can park and walk to anywhere in the town. very convenient- dining and shopping with in steps. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would recommend it to others :)

Not a huge B&B fan - prefer upscale or boutique hotels. However, this B&B is in an old hotel so had more of the feel of a boutique hotel versus a B&B. I did not eat the breakfast as the timeframe in which it was served was very limited (only 45 minutes). I do like the fact customers get their own breakfast table though (can't stand B&Bs where everyone is on one big long table - awkward). Rooms were great - very clean and well maintained. Didn't like the fact there is no TV so bring your iPad or portable DVD if you want to watch something at night. Overall, a very cool old place to visit/stay at.

Mrs. B's is a gem in downtown Lanesboro. The owners are very friendly and accommodting. Breakfast is delicious and the rooms are most comfortable.

We celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary with a weekend stay at Mrs B's in Lanesboro, Mn. The location was superb for all of our activities including dining, lodging, biking, church, theater, and hiking. The Inn's policies and procedures were a little unwelcoming but they really didn't bother us all that much other than the fact that we couldn't open the window. It was a hot weekend and we could have used some fresh air as it seems they turn the A/C down at night. The patio and decks on the side of the Inn were very nice. Breakfast was very good both mornings.

We have stayed many times in Lanesboro and always stay at Mrs B's. We love how beautiful it is and how close it is to everything. We like having our own table for breakfast instead of the all guest tables. We love the side porch to sit and enjoy the sites. THANK YOU!

Parking can be an issue, although it is manageable we understand that space is at a premium. We would return.

Mrs B's was a quaint, beautifully decorated B & B in the little town of Lanesboro. It was so neat and clean, you almost didn't want to unpack and ruin the atmosphere! The walls are so thick on this building built in the 1870's, I believe, that any outdoor/street noise was left outside! The owners were friendly and asked about our needs, if any. They served a wonderful breakfast, chatted a bit, and we were off. The only thing we would have liked is a cup of coffee to go with the yummy chocolate chip cookies on the lobby desk for us to enjoy! It was neat to watch the fireflies after dark from the deck, and relax beside the Root River. We'd go again!

Air conditioning really chilly by late evening. The window coverings did not shut out early morning light at all. Hosts most congenial and a beautiful old house.

A lovely stay in a superb location for taking advantage of all that Lanesboro has to offer. Friendly, helpful owners, great service, yummy breakfast included. Clean, quiet, charming. A special place.

Stay was great, Mrs. B.'s was an excellent place to stay. The breakfasts were amazing and the chocolate chip cookies were a great treat at the end of a day of riding.

Stayed there one night over memorial day weekend. Superb experience. Terry & GInger are wondeful hosts. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was spectacularly clean and well decorated. Strongly recommend this inn to all. Breakfast was delicious too.

We enjoyed our stay at Mrs. B's. It was great to be downtown and yet be away from it all once we entered the doors of Mrs. B's. Early morning coffee at our leisure and cookies were nice treats. Mrs. B's is a lovely B&B in the heart of downtown Lanesboro. It is just steps away from a fantastic bike trail. The innkeepers gave great recommendations for food nearby and we particularly enjoyed a trip to Quarter Quarter in Harmony on their recommendation. The breakfasts were yummy and what a treat to have fresh herbs from the garden! The grounds are beautifully done with lovely gardens and clearly a lot of thought and energy put into making a peaceful and welcoming setting. The only suggestion I would have would be easier access throughout the day to ice water, coffee and tea along with the cookies at the guest bar. It would lend an extra dose of hospitality to an already welcoming setting. It does make sense to limit food and drink in the rooms, but in the common areas, it sure would be nice.

Very relaxing right in the middle of town with an easy walk to everything.

Great location in the heart of Lanesboro right on the Root River Trail, and most attractions are within walking distance. We're not usually B&B fans but would definitely stay at Mrs. B's again.

The folks at Mrs. B's were very responsive leading up to our visit and very nice upon our arrival. For the price, the room was underwhelming.

Nice spot,Good location but...Breakfast is ONLY available from 8 to 8:45am! I would say the Innkeepers are missing the boat on why people might go to a B&B. You might try "accomodating" your guests not yourselves.

A very Friendly place to stay, met very nice people, Food was good, Beautiful Flowers out back & the Root River to see, with a nice bench to sit on. Also visited the Cats there too.

Park your car on Friday, enjoy this B&B, ride the many and beautiful bike trails, walk to all kinds of restaurants and live theater, and never touch your car again until it's time to leave. Mrs. B's is a beautiful, very clean historic inn with helpful innkeepers who are not intrusive at all. The constant supply of homebaked chocolate chip cookies always on hand in the foyer were appreciated by all at all times of the day/night!

We truly enjoyed our Anniversary weekend stay at Mrs. B's in Lanesboro! Terry and Ginger were so warm and welcoming, and they run a spectacular B&B! They went out of their way in helping us celebrate our first anniversary by setting us at a special table at breakfast marked with an anniversary sign, a hand-written card, and a bride & groom rubber duckie pair :) The room we stayed in was so fresh and clean feeling, with a lovely charm to it. It was so cozy and comfortable. The entry way is beautiful and inviting. The breakfasts in the morning were phenomenal...we were thrilled to be able to have some of that famous French toast! It was such a comfortable and relaxing stay, we were happy we chose this place in this adorable town! In Lanesboro, we took advantage of biking, tubing on the river, memorable dining experiences, and parking in some Buffalo Bill Days events, such as the parade and fireworks. We recommend Mrs. B's!

We had a good stay and thought the accommodations were on par for a B&B. The breakfast food was great though!

Amazing breakfasts, yummy chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon, and relaxing gardens. Close to everything.

The only downside of staying at Mrs. B's was that the time to go home came much too soon. Another several days would have been wonderful. We will do it again.

The room was comfortable, although not large. The bathroom was clean and convenient. We enjoyed staying at a B & B right on the main street so we could walk to local restaurants and shops. By having room #9, we had access to the side deck and enjoyed an evening glass of wine while watching people stroll. We visited Lanesboro during the week, which allowed us to avoid the crowds that occur on weekends.

We had a splendid stay at Mrs. B's!! From the super breakfasts, comfy and cozy bed and room to the yummy cookies, every detail was well thought out and enjoyable. The gardens on the river are beautiful and peaceful, and we were treated each night to our own fireworks show courtesy of the local fireflies -- very special! Terry and Ginger do everything just right, and we thank them for a terrific visit in Lanesboro!!

I would highly recommend to all. Very nice, quaint place. Great back yard, centrally located and beautiful. The owners are wonderful and clearly take great pride in their work.

Stayed at Mrs B's Friday & Sat. night. Heat wave (110+ heat index outside, but plenty cool in Mrs. B's) Breakfast was excellent! Terry was very helpful with reservations and activities (went kayaking for the first time!) and a pleasure to visit with. Fun to meet and dine with other guests over breakfast. Highly recommend!

the innkeepers were a great help. very informative about things to do, and how to go about them. Also they were very knowledgeable about the area history, which is very interesting. We loved the area, and plan on returning sometime soon.

We enjoyed the friendly hospitality of our hosts/owners. The breakfast meals were excellent and the ambience and decor of the inn was comfortable and relaxing. One thought would be to add a water pitcher or coffee and tea to be available through the afternoon and evening. My husband especially enjoyed the fresh baked cookies and would have liked to had them available the whole weekend.

The Inn was immaculate and inviting. The location right in town was perfect, included a terraced garden with lovely places to sit. Innkeepers were very pleasant. Their requests for quiet and respect for others was much appreciated.

I had a wonderful stay at Mrs. B's. The location is perfect (right in the middle of town!), and there is a beautiful garden in the back along the river if you want to relax. The breakfast was delicious.

Loved the downtown setting so we could walk everywhere we went. The place was spotless and very cozy. The owners were friendly and fun to chat with at breakfast. The food was lovely and included the best fresh fruit I've had all year. Nothing bad to say about it - we'd love to stay there again.

The Inn was very nice, but had a lot of rules needed to follow i thought. There is no parking reserved for customers which i thought a little inconvient but we were able to find parking down the street for both nights. The room was very nice and cheery and bathroom was clean. I loved that there is no TV or phones for interuptions but was not expecting this since i didnt notice it on the website until two days before we left. The service was nice and people were friendly and the warm cookies available were an sweet touch. Breakfast was Very good both mornings but we thought to early for those who prefer to sleep in on vactation. It was a nice place to stay and quiet, but didnt really offer any of the little extras that i was hoping for(like massages, anniversary or birthday pkgs to purchase, bottle of wine and something local gift baskets, ect.)

Mrs. B's is a nice place to stay. It is close to almost everything there is to see and do in Lanesboro. Our room was nice, but I did miss not having a TV in the room when I could not even find a magazine in town to buy that interests a man. Believe me - take your own along. The Innkeepers are very nice and have an outstanding breakfast served to the guests. We were in room #9, which had a pretty private balcony right off the room. I would stay there again if I planned another weekend trip to Lanesboro. It was a very pleasant stay.

The breakfasts were excellant and they were very accomodating to special food needs that we had. The shower in the room was uncomfortably small and we weren't allowed to open the window to our room but otherwise our stay was wonderful. They had a nice locked bike storage area and were very friendly.

We stayed at Mrs. B's three nights and loved it. The breakfasts were excellent! The room, and the entire inn, were in beautiful condition and very comfortable. The hosts were friendly and personable. Lanesboro is a great little town and Mrs. B's will be where we stay when we go back.

We visit the Lanesboro area at least once a year to ride the bike trails and enjoy the river. This was our first visit to Mrs. B's and we were very pleased with our choice. Terry and Ginger are very gracious hosts, the Inn is immaculately kept and breakfast super! Looks like we've found a new favorite in Lanesboro.
